摘要： Implantable medical devices (IMDs) comprising a monitor or implantable pulse generator (IPG) having an IPG header to which lead connector assemblies of electrical medical leads are coupled, particularly, an improved in-line IPG header providing enhanced durability, ease of manufacture, and ease of use. A stack of alternating, substantially tubular electrically insulating fluid seals and header connector elements is assembled in axial alignment to form a common, elongated axial stack bore sized in diameter and length to receive the lead connector assembly. Each adjacent electrical connector element and fluid seal are interlocked with one another during assembly of the stack to maintain the axial alignment and the length and diameter dimensions. Fluid seals are located at each end of the stack, and the stack can be inserted as a unit into a cavity of the IPG header.

摘要： An improved connection system for coupling a device such as a pacemaker (121), cardioverter, defibrillator, nerve stimulator, muscle stimulator, implantable monitor or other medical device to a medical lead (190) is disclosed. The connection system includes a coupling member (100) designed to couple to the proximal end of the lead. This coupling member, which includes an inner lumen sized to form a press fit around the proximal end of the lead body, may be of a generally tubular construction. This coupling member includes connector means to enable a connector pin at the proximal end of the lead to mechanically and electrically couple to a device. The connector means may further include means for coupling both mechanically and electrically to a ring connector on the proximal end of a multi-polar lead. An insertion member may (110) also be provided to allow the lead to be more easily inserted within the inner lumen of the coupling member.

摘要： An implantable medical device having an optical sensor selects the function of modular opto-electronic assemblies included in the optical sensor. Each assembly is provided with at least one light emitting device and at least one light detecting device. A device controller coupled to the optical sensor controls the function of each the assemblies. The controller executes a sensor performance test and selects at least one of the plurality of assemblies to operate as a light emitting assembly in response to a result of the performance test. The controller selects at least one other of the plurality of optical sensor assemblies to operate as a light detecting assembly in response to a result of the performance test.

摘要： An implantable medical device (IMD) may include at least two separate lead connection assemblies, each with electrical connectors for connecting implantable leads to the IMD. In some examples, a IMD may include a first therapy module configured to generate a first electrical stimulation therapy and a second therapy module configured to generate a second electrical stimulation therapy for delivery to the patient. The IMD may include a first lead connection assembly including a first electrical connector electrically coupled to the first therapy module and a second lead connection assembly including a second electrical connector electrically coupled to the second therapy module. In some examples, the first and second lead connection assemblies are distributed around the outer perimeter of the IMD housing.

摘要： A connector assembly for detachably coupling a proximal end of a lead and an implantable medical device. The connector assembly includes a deflectable connector clip having a first arm, a second arm and a top portion extending between the first arm and the second arm. The first arm and the second arm detachably position the proximal end of the lead within the implantable medical device. A housing portion has a first deflection portion that deflects the connector clip from a first position corresponding to a first distance between the first arm and the second arm, to a second position corresponding to a second distance between the first arm and the second arm. Subsequent advancement of the lead through the first and second arms further deflects the connector clip from the second position to a third position, which transfers all of the spring force of the connector clip to the lead.

摘要： A medical lead adapter assembly is provided for facilitating an electrical connection between an implantable medical lead connector and an external medical device. The adapter includes a housing, having a sidewall and a longitudinally extending connector receptacle, and at least one contact opening passing through the sidewall to the receptacle. 摘要： A lead connector arrangement includes a non-cylindrically shaped connector pin coupled to a lead conductor and a connector sleeve assembly for receiving the non-cylindrically shaped connector pin. The connector sleeve assembly includes an insert with an axial bore formed therein that complements the shape of the non-cylindrical connector pin. According to one embodiment, the non-cylindrical connector pin may be provided in the form of a triangular, square, rectangular, or hexagonal shape. The axial bore has a complimentary shape to receive the connector pin. When the connector pin is threaded through the connector sleeve assembly using a pull-wire device, the pull-wire device may be unscrewed from the connector pin without causing axial rotation of the lead conductor when the connector pin is fully inserted within the axial bore.
