    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component transportation method that improves component transportation reliability, shortens a component supply cycle, and enables efficient step replacement, and to provide a component feeder mechanism. SOLUTION: A component feeder mechanism 20 comprises a feeding wheel 22 where a body rotating in a direction almost identical to a feeding direction of a supply tape 4 is faced to the supply tape 4; a wheel driver 23 for intermittently rotating the feeding wheel 22; a feeding hook 21 whose end is exposed to the supply tape 4 from multiple slits 26 extending toward a radial direction of the feeding wheel 22, so that it can be engaged with the feeding hole 6 of the supply tape 4; and a guide 25 which is placed at the opposite side of the supply tape 4 for the feeding wheel 22, and is contacted to the other end of the feeding hook 21 for control over projection of the feeding hook 21 to the supply tape 4 and linear movement in a transportation direction.       SOLUTION: The respective kinds of electronic components and the same kinds of electronic component are mounted as reference electronic components to a reference board, in the same manner as the arrangement for respective component cassettes to be mounted to an electronic component mounter, and electronic components to be mounted are compared with the reference electronic components on the reference board corresponding with the arrangement of the component cassettes where the electronic components are arranged.     • PURPOSE:To reduce error in the positional correction value due to shift in the positioning angle of a circuit board by providing each of a plurality of position recognition blocks with a reference mounting position and shortenrng the maximum distance between the reference mounting position and each mounting position in the block. CONSTITUTION:Each of a plurality of circuit boards P1, P2 is divided into four position recognition blocks B1,...,B4 having reference mounting positions B1-1,..., B4-1,. In the first step, for example, the reference mounting position B1-1 in the first position recognition block B1 of a first board P1 is recognized to obtain a position correcting value. The position correcting value is then determined for each mounting position based on the position correcting value thus obtained, and the positional relationship between the reference mounting position B1-1 and each mounting position in the first position recognition block B1. Finally, a part is mounted at each mounting position in the first position recognition block B1 of the first board P1 using the position correcting values thus obtained. This method shortens the maximum distance between the reference mounting position and each mounting position in the position recognition block.
