摘要： Conventional porous carbon materials obtained by carbonizing an organic gel were prone to shrinkage during their manufacture, in the course of which the density rose and the specific surface area decreased. Another problem was that density and specific surface area were difficult to control after an organic gel had already been formed. In the present invention, a carbon material with a large specific surface area is formed by forming a composite porous material having a reticulated skeleton and composed of a dry gel of an inorganic oxide, and taking advantage of the reaction of this dry gel of an inorganic oxide as a structural support. In one method, a carbon material is formed in this reticulated skeleton in a state in which the characteristics of a dry gel of an inorganic oxide with a large specific surface area are maintained. In another method, the specific surface area of a carbon material is further increased by removing the inorganic oxide of the reticulated skeleton in which the carbon material was formed.

摘要： 1454555 Duplicating magnetic tapes MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 20 Dec 1973 [30 Dec 1972] 59247/73 Heading G5R In a method of duplicating video magnetic tape recordings in a contact-type video tape printer, wherein a master tape and a copy tape are brought into contact with one another, playback tracking servo control pulses are recorded on to the master tape prior to the printing step, the gradient of the leading edge of each such pulse being substantially different from that of its trailing edge. The control pulses may have a trapezoidal or sawtooth shape. The magnetic coatings of a master tape 3 from a reel 1 and a slave tape 4 from a reel 2 are brought into intimate contact at a capstan 5 and wound together at high speed on to a reel 7, the tapes are thereafter rewound on to reels 1, 2 at slow speed whilst being subjected to the action of a magnetic flux or heat generator 8. The resultant control signals on tape 4 have less overshoot and print through noise pulses than tapes duplicated from masters having the usual rectangular control signals thereon. The control signals are recorded on the master tape by passing the vertical sync. pulses of a composite video signal from a sync. separator into a bi-stable circuit, the output of which triggers a monostable circuit which in turn triggers a sawtooth or trapezoidal wave generator feeding a record head, Figs. 6, 7 (not shown).

摘要： A diamond film of this invention is formed from growth nuclei distributed on a substrate at a density of at least 1x10 numbers/cm , the film is dense, having flat surface and great freedom in the thickness of the continuous film. The growth nuclei can be distributed at such a high density by, for example, dispersing diamond grains of average diameter of no more than 0.1 mu m in an acid solution, and distributing the grains on a substrate immersed in the solution by any means including ultrasonic vibration and voltage application. Such techniques for nucleation are simple and excellent in repeatability. The diamond film is formed on the substrate using the diamond grains as the growth nuclei by the plasma CVD or any other techniques.

摘要： The present invention provides an electron emitting device for efficiently emitting electron beams by applying a forward bias to an MIS, pn, and a pin structure using a diamond layer so as to supply electrons from an electron supply layer to a p-type diamond layer. Furthermore, the present invention provides a method for easily and efficiently performing important production processes for producing a highly efficient electron emitting device having a diamond layer and controlling a surface state of the diamond layer. A multi-layer structure including an electrode layer, an electron supply layer and a diamond layer is used as the structure thereof. Alternatively, the electron affinity state of the surface of the diamond layer is arbitrarily controlled by a method such as ultraviolet ray irradiation.
