    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater in which adhesion of scale to the inner face of a vessel is reduced thereby maintenance relative to the scale is facilitated.
      SOLUTION: The electric water heater is provided with: the vessel 1 storing water or hot water; a heating part 3 heating the water or the hot water in the vessel 1; a temperature detecting means 4 detecting the temperature of the water or the hot water; a control part 5 controlling temperature detection by the temperature detecting means 4 and an energizing state in the heating part 3; a magnetic line generating part 6 causing a magnetic line to act on the water or the hot water; and an ultrasonic wave generating part 8 causing an ultrasonic wave vibration to act on the vessel 1 and the water or the hot water. The magnetic line generating part 6 and the ultrasonic wave generating part 8 respectively preform a magnetic processing and an ultrasonic processing, so that the adhesion of the scale is reduced and the scale hardly adheres to the inner surface 1 of the vessel 1.
