    • Disclosed is a fuel/air mixture supply system for an internal combustion engine of the single-point fuel injection type wherein, the intake manifold system is formed with a first fuel/air supply passage which inspires atmospheric air and which has fitted generally at a midpoint thereof a fuel injection valve which injects fuel into the inspired air. The fuel/air mixture then proceeds to a first set of branched passages, each one of which conducts the fuel/air mixture to a cylinder of the engine. Further, there is provided a second air supply passage which inspires atmospheric air and which branches into a second set of branched passages, each one of which conducts air to a cylinder of the engine. The first fuel/air supply passage is smaller than the second air supply passage, and the first set of branched passages are smaller than the second set of branched passages. The flow of air/fuel mixture in the first fuel/air supply passage is controlled by a first throttle valve, and the flow of air in the second air supply passage and/or the second branched passages is controlled by a regulating means responsive to the operation of the first throttle valve, so as to be substantially zero when the first throttle valve is open an amount less than a certain predetermined amount, while, when the first throttle valve is opened greater than the certain predetermined amount, the flow is progressively increased.

    • A fuel injection valve drive system is disclosed for use in an internal combustion engine including at least one solenoid operated fuel injection valve. The system comprises a first pulse generator for providing, in synchronism with rotation of the engine, a first pulse signal having a constant pulse width, a second pulse generator for providing a second pulse signal of pulse width dependent upon the amount of air introduced to the engine, first switch means responsive to a first pulse signal for allowing small current to flow through the solenoid coil of the fuel injection valve so as not to open the fuel injection valve, and second switch means responsive to a second pulse signal for allowing large current to flow through the solenoid coil so as to open the fuel injection valve. Means are provided for causing the second pulse generator to generate a second pulse signal a time after the first pulse generator generates a first pulse signal.

    • The invention relates to a fuel supplying device for an internal combustion engine. A fuel supplying device for an internal combustion engine includes a fuel injector for injecting fuel into a collector or riser section of an intake manifold from which a plurality of branches extend toward cylinders of the engine. According to the invention, an induction passage is bent or provided with an elbow so that induction air will change its direction toward a heated bottom wall of the riser section before entering the same and the fuel injector is arranged so as to inject fuel toward the bottom wall and radially inwardly into a flow of induction air passing through the induction passage. With this the amount of fuel flowing along the riser walls has been considerably reduced, thus enhancing the response characteristics.

    • According to one embodiment, an imprint template includes a base substrate and a resin-based pattern transfer portion. The pattern transfer portion is formed on a major surface of the base substrate and includes a protrusion-depression pattern. A shape of the protrusion-depression pattern is transferred to a transfer target. The protrusion-depression portion is provided at the major surface of the base substrate. A major surface side of the pattern transfer portion is provided so as to fit into a depression of the protrusion-depression portion. In another embodiment, a pattern formation method is disclosed. The method can include providing the transfer target on the substrate, and using the imprint template to bring the pattern into contact with the transfer target. In addition, the method can include curing the transfer target and then releasing the imprint template from the transfer target to transfer the shape of the pattern to the transfer target.
