摘要： PURPOSE:To better the magnetic characteristics, particularly the coercive force and rectangularity, by compounding at least one kind chosen from Si, Ga, Ge, Al, In, Sn, Zn, Nb, Mo, W, Zr, Ta, V and Ti, and a small amount of C into an Rem-(Fe, Co, Ni)-B alloy. CONSTITUTION:A magnet of this invention contains C:0.1-8.0at% (this is simplified as % in the following), Rem:8-30%, where Rem means rare-earth elements including Y, B:2-20%, and at least one kind chosen from Si, Ga, Ge, Al, In, Sn, Zn, Nb, Mo, W, Zr, Ta, V and Ti:0.2-8.0%. And, the remaining part practically comprises transition metallic elements of Fe, Co and Ni. The compound amounts of the Fe, Co and Ni are Fe:10% or more, less than 90%; Co:50% or less; Ni:30% or less respectively. And, (Fe+Co+Ni):50% or more, less than 90% is also satisfied. When no elements are added, the coercive force decreases rapidly with the increase of the C amount. On the contrary, when Nb, Si, etc., are added simultaneously, the coercive force increases with the increase of the C amount.

CONSTITUTION:A mixed powder of a permanent magnet alloy, which consists of RE not less than 10% and not more than 25% including one or two sorts or materials selected from Y, Sc and lanthanoids, B of not less then 2% and not more than 20% and the rest TM and its constitution is in the phase od RE2TM14B composition having Nd2Fe14B structure, and a powder mainly composed of RE-TM intermetallic compound phase or RE-TM eutectic structure and/or RE-TM-B intermetallic compound phase lower in the melting point than the first phase is subjected to compression molding and sintered thereafter. For further improvement of corrosion resistance, it is effective that a grain boundary phase is electrochemically nobler than a main phase. Therefore, it is preferable to make the ratio of Ni and/or Co in TM in the RE-TM and RE-TM-B low melting point phase higher than that in the RE2TM14B phase.

摘要： PURPOSE:To save the cost by man-hour reduction and, at the same time, achieve the improvement of the coercive force by a method wherein alloy powder which contains a specific content of B and has a specific composition is compression-molded and sintered and, in the cooling process, the molded and sintered unit is quenched and aged in a liquid metal bath or a molten salt bath which is maintained at a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:Alloy powder is composed of 10-25at.% of rare-earth RE, wherein RE denotes at least one of Y and lanthanoids, 2-20at.% of B and remnants. The remnants are practically composed of Fe, Co and Ni which are transition metal elements. The respective contents of Fe, Co Ni are within specific ranges and the total content of (Fe+Co+Ni) is not less than 55at.% and less than 88at.%. The alloy powder is compression-molded and sintered. In the cooling process, the molded and sintered unit is quenched and aged in a liquid metal bath or a molten salt bath which is maintained at a temperature of 250-550 deg.C. By this manufacturing method, the temperature of the whole sample can be dropped to the aging temperature in a short time, so that the deposition of different phase which causes the degradation of a coercive force in a temperature rising process and a temperature dropping process can be suppressed. With this constitution, an aging treatment process can be simplified and a high performance magnet can be obtained while the manufacturing cost is cut down.
