    • Disclosed herein is an outer core assembly structure of a linear motor. At least one of a plurality of core sheets is an extended core sheet having a length greater than that of the other core sheets. Consequently, easy and convenient alignment of first and second outer core blocks is accomplished when the first and second outer core blocks are assembled, and the first and second outer core blocks are securely fixed to each other. Furthermore, an additional reinforcing cover is not necessary. Consequently, assembly of the first and second outer core blocks is easily and conveniently accomplished, and therefore, the assembly costs are reduced.

    • A resonator for a rotary compressor is provided to prevent generation of impact exciting force and pulsation sound occurred due to pressure pulsation and reduce a noise of a low frequency band generated in the compressor by forming a curved portion at a narrow unit of the resonator which is a pressure pulsation inflow path and controlling the ratio of a diameter to a length of each of the narrow unit and a resonance unit, for thereby smoothing the inflow of the pressure pulsation generated from a pressure chamber. To achieve such a resonator, in a resonator for a rotary compressor, which consists of a narrow unit serving as an inflow path of pressure pulsation which is generated from a compressor and communicating with an exhaust outlet and a resonance unit for reducing a noise by attenuating the pressure pulsation element flowed through the narrow unit, the improved resonator for the rotary compressor according to the present invention includes a curved portion formed at an end portion of the narrow unit. In addition, the ratio of a radius of the curved portion to a diameter of the narrow unit is 2.5˜3.5:1, the ratio of the diameter of the exhaust outlet to the diameter of the resonance unit is 1.2˜1.8:1, the ratio of the diameter to the height of the resonance unit is 1.0˜2.5:1, and the ratio of the length to the diameter of the narrow unit is 1.5˜2.8:1.

    • A rotary compressor of the low operational noise type is disclosed. This compressor consists of a casing, a rotating shaft set within the casing, a roller eccentrically fixed to the rotating shaft and eccentrically, rotatably set within a cylinder so as to form a variable suction chamber and a variable compression chamber within the cylinder. The compressor also has a bypass passage, which is formed on the internal surface of the cylinder at a position around the refrigerant exhaust stroke initiating point, thus allowing the compression and exhaust chambers to communicate with each other through the bypass passage and allowing highly compressed refrigerant to be fed from the compression chamber back into the suction chamber at the initial stage of each exhaust stroke. Therefore, the compressor of this invention effectively reduces excessive pressure pulsation generated at the initial stage of each exhaust stroke, thereby effectively reducing impact exciting force caused by the pressure pulsation within the compression chamber of the cylinder and effectively reducing impact vibration and pulsation noise.
