    • A heat dissipation device includes a heat sink (30), a metal plate (50), and a clip (20). The heat sink has a chassis (36) with thermally conductive material (40) applied thereunder. The metal plate is attached to the material in order to be in thermal contact with the chassis. The metal plate is then directly attached to a CPU (60). The clip is engaged with a socket (70) that supports the CPU, to facilitate the metal plate intimately contacting the CPU. The metal plate prevents the CPU from moving from the socket should the heat dissipation device be accidentally moved or displaced. This reduces any risk of damage to the CPU. In addition, heat generated from the CPU is efficiently removed.

    • A clip (30) for securing a heat sink (50) to a heat-generating electronic device (90) includes first and second fasteners (40, 60). The first fastener includes a body (41), and a pair of legs (49) depending from respective opposite ends of the body. The body has a stretch portion (411) in which cutouts (413) are defined to form a pair of fixing tabs (415). A pair of spring pressing portions (43) is formed at respective opposite ends of the body. Each spring pressing portion has a pressing tab (451) to be received in a slot (53) defined in the heat sink. The second fastener has a vertical panel (61) defining an opening (62) adapted to receive a clasp (72) of a retention module (70), and a slot (63) for receiving the fixing tabs of the first fastener therethrough. The fixing tabs are then deformed to secure the second fastener to the first fastener.

The body has a leg (26) depending at an end thereof for engaging with a retention module (50), and a central pressing tab (24) for being received in a groove (76) defined in a heat sink (70). The body further has a joint portion (28) at another end thereof. Cutouts (33) are defined in the joint portion to form a pair of deformable protrusions (35) and a U-shaped head (36). A rib (38) is formed on the body for reinforcing the clip. The fastener has a retaining portion (42). The retaining portion includes a slot (44) for receiving the head, and an aperture (46) for engaging with an ear (64) formed on the retention module. The protrusions are deformed to secure the fastener to the body.

    • An ejector mechanism for a memory card connector comprising a housing, a shroud retained in a stationary relationship with respect to the housing, a pushing bar slidably mounted to the shroud. A separated elongate member having an integral stop is secured to the pushing bar. A coil spring is provided about the elongate member and compressed between a portion of the elongate member and the shroud. The coil spring urges the elongate member relative to the shroud to a resting position where the stop of the elongate member abuts against the shroud. With the stop integral with the elongate member to serve as a stop arrangement, the elongate member is prevented from disengaging from the rest of the pushing bar.

    • A heat sink clip assembly (1) for attaching a heat sink (5) on a CPU (7) includes a retention frame (10), and a pair of clips (20) pivotally attached to two sides of the retention frame. Each clip includes a main body (21), and a handle (41) pivotally attached to the main body. The main body includes a cross beam (23), and two locking arms (31) respectively depending from opposite ends of the cross beam. Each locking arm defines a locking hole (33) at a distal end. The handle has a cam portion (47) at one end thereof. The clips are pivoted outwardly to make way for the heat sink to seat on the CPU. Then the clips are pivoted upwardly, so that the cross beam is suspended above the heat sink. The handle is pivoted downwardly so that the cam portion presses the heat sink to the CPU.

A pair of tabs (49) and a pair of tongues (492) is formed at each of opposite ends of each fixing device, and defines a through hole (494) for receiving a corresponding locking arm. When the operating arm is rotated to raise the main body, the tongues guide the guiding portions and cause the hooks to tightly engage in locking holes (62) of a retention module (60).
