摘要： A movement detection device for detecting movement of an image incident on an image sensing device and for compensating for that movement includes movement detection circuitry for detecting the movement of the image from image signals output from the image sensing device. Correction circuitry is provided for electrically correcting the movement of the image based on an output of the movement detection circuitry. A filter is provided for receiving the corrected image signals output from the correction circuitry, and for performing a filter processing operation on the corrected image signals to compensate for degradation of image resolution due to the movement of the image.

摘要： A method of 3D holographic recording by using a very simple optical system includes dividing a femto-second laser pulse into a plurality of light beams by a diffraction beam splitter, focusing four light beams selected from the divided plurality of light beams, controlling each optical phase of the selected four light beams by a phase retarder, and further focusing these four light beams into a sample comprised of a photosensitive material capable of multi-photon exposure so that the photosensitive material is exposed to the interference among the four light beams and multi-photon absorption in the sample is induced, thus recording a 3D phase hologram on the irradiated portion of the sample.

摘要： An image signal is input from an image input unit and is divided into different spatial frequency bands by applying a discrete wavelet transform thereto using a discrete wavelet transformation unit. On the basis of values of spatial frequency components, a region-of-interest extracts a region of interest by obtaining a distribution of motion vectors in the input image. A quantization unit applies quantization processing to the extracted region of interest and different quantization processing to other regions, and an encoder encodes the quantized image signal. Alternatively, motion of an image contained in the input image may be detected and the region of interest may be obtained based upon motion of this image.

According to the present invention, an image processing apparatus comprises an object extracting unit, for performing a predetermined process for image data for a position or an area that is designated and for extracting a specific object from an image, an outline part deciding unit, for selecting and authenticating an arbitrary segment of an outline obtained by the extracting unit, and an outline synthesis unit, for linking and synthesizing together the outline segments that are authenticated. Since a closed curve is formed by synthesizing the outline segments obtained by repeating the above process, and the outline of the object is thus determined, the outline segment that is extracted from the image and matches the correct outline of the object is sequentially selected and authenticated. The thus authenticated outline segments are linked and synthesized to gradually form the overall outline of the object.
