摘要： A method and apparatus is provided for receiving and/or reproducing a digital signal, capable of efficiently recording a compressed, packeted digital signal (170-173) and inhibiting a copy thereof. An input packet signal is added (Fig. 9) with a time stamp indicating a relative time of an arrival of the packet, and the packet signals of digital information with the added time stamps are recorded at reduced intervals (Fig. 8(3)) therebetween. In reproducing, a packet interval adjusting circuit (Fig. 11) restores the original packet intervals in accordance with the time stamps, and then a time stamp change circuit (Fig. 9) changes at least one bit of the time stamp and thereafter outputs the digital information.

摘要： A skew error correction and a time base error compensation device for a video signal in a television receiver or the like is diclosed. An oscillator (407) produces an oscillation output signal of a constant frequency which is phase-synchronized with horizontal synchronization information included in an input video signal, and the output signal is used as a write clock. In a vertical blanking period, the oscillation output signal or a frequency-divided signal thereof is phase-compared with an output of a reference signal generator of a predetermined frequency or a frequency-divided signal thereof, and a phase error signal is negatively fed back to voltage control means which voltage-controls the oscillation frequency of the oscillator. Thus, the oscillation frequency is stabilized without using an AFC circuit and a time base error in the input video signal is eliminated.

摘要： In a rotary magnetic head helical scan type video tape recorder using a segment recording system, a video signal of one vertical scanning period is divided into n video signal blocks (V), where n is an integer equal to or larger than 2, and a redundant period (V-BLK) having a predetermined period is inserted into the video signal blocks (V) in a recording mode. Each of the video signal blocks (V) has a number of horizontal scanning lines equal or smaller than N/n, where N is the number of the horizontal scanning lines in a field of the video signal. In a reproducing mode, a time axis error of reproduced series of the video signal blocks (V) is corrected at least during the redundant periods (V-BLK). Then, the corrected blocks are converted into the original video signal.
