摘要： A power transmission system for a vehicle is provided, including: a housing that can reserve oil therein; and a rotational member rotatably supported within the housing, with a surface of the rotational member being partly contactable with a surface of the oil reserved in the housing, in which the surface of the rotational member partly contactable with the oil surface includes a non-contact surface that is not in contact with any power transmission members, the non-contact surface having an oil repellent section. When the surface of the rotational member contacts the oil surface, the oil repellent section repels the oil quickly. Therefore, the amount of oil, which adheres to and rotates with the rotational member agitating the oil, decreases. This reduces oil heat generation and rotational resistance to the rotational member.

摘要： A front lens group 1 and a rear lens group 2 having a diameter of about 5 mm held inside a cylindrical body 5 are capable of movement in the forward and backward directions via a front group movable body 3 and a rear group movable body 4, respectively. An image taking element such as a CCD is arranged at a prescribed position behind the cylindrical body. By setting the distance from each lens group to the CCD and the distance between both lens groups, an image is formed at a prescribed zoom on the CCD. From the 1× base state when the zoom magnification is made α×→β×→γ×, the positional relationship between the front lens group and the rear lens group becomes as shown in FIG. 1(b)˜(d). The two kinds of zoom magnification 1× and β× can be switched by fixing the front lens group and moving only the rear lens group back and forth between positions.

摘要： A shift control apparatus of an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle to which torque is transmitted from an engine via a fluid coupling device is provided. In the automatic transmission including a plurality of hydraulically operated friction elements, a clutch-to-clutch downshift is carried out during coasting of the vehicle by releasing one of the friction elements and engaging another friction element. A controller of the shift control apparatus detects a difference between input and output rotation speeds of the fluid coupling device, and increases an engine speed by a controlled amount based on the difference between the input and output rotation speeds when the clutch-to-clutch downshift is carried out during coasting of the vehicle, so that the vehicle is brought into a minimal driving state in which the engine speed is slightly higher than the output rotation speed of the fluid coupling device.

摘要： Land vehicle navigation apparatus includes a present vehicle position detector, a location setter for setting a pass-through point and a destination, and a route search unit for determination of a route to the destination through the pass-through point. A judgment area setter is provided for setting, with respect to the pass-through point, a judgment area that enables the user to select whether route guidance to the pass-through point is necessary. A controller provides control of the overall system while permitting the user's selection of whether the guidance to the pass-through point is necessary when the present vehicle position is within the judgment area, thereby facilitating guidance changeover to the route segment next following the pass-through point, without need to actually enter the pass-through judgment area near the pass-through point. Also disclosed is a storage medium operatively associated with the navigation apparatus, having encoded thereon one or more programs as required for such route guidance control procedures.
