    • PURPOSE:To realize it with a simple operation that a comfortable state can be attained in reference to humidity, a flow speed of air flow, an amount of cloth, an amount of activity, a radiation temperature and a room temperature or the like. CONSTITUTION:A PMV value indicating a comfortable characteristic of air conditioned environment determined by humidity, a flow speed of air flow, an amount of cloth, an amount of activity, a radiation temperature and a room temperature is expressed by a primary expression of a radiation temperature (tr) and a room temperature (ta) and then the PMV value is set to a desired numerical value. The radiation temperature (tr) of a room to be air conditioned is detected and then an air conditioner is controlled with a room temperature got by substituting the detected radiation temperature (tr) as well as the aforesaid set PMV value for the aforesaid being applied as the room temperature target value. Mere controlling of the room temperature at the air conditioner realizes a comfortable condition with humidity, flow speed of air flow, an amount of cloth and an amount of activity or the like being considered.

    • PURPOSE:To make easy the simplification of piping work, the decrease of piping materials, and effective use of the space in a building, by a method wherein each of outdoor machines and each of indoor machines have each liquid tube and each gas tube, and all the liquid tubes and the gas tubes for the outdoor machines and all the liquid tubes and the gas tubes for the indoor machines are respectively connected to one common liquid tube and one common gas tube. CONSTITUTION:A liquid tube 31 and a gas tube 41 for each of outdoor machines 1a, 1b, and a liquid tube 32 and a gas tube 42 for each of idoor machines, 2a to 2d, are respectively connected to a common liquid tube 3 and a common gas tube 4, between the outdoor machines and the indoor machines, and thus a refrigerant is circulated. A pressure-equalizing tube 9 and an oil-equalizing tube 10 are connected between the outdoor machines 1a, 1b, and the amount of lubricating oil to a compressor in each of the outdoor machines is prevented from being unbalanced. Between a plurality of the outdoor machines and a plurality of the indoor machines, the refrigerant is circulated by two common tubes, the liquid tube and the gas tube, or by three common tubes, the liquid tube, a high pressure gas tube and a low pressure gas tube. In this way, pipe lines for circulating the refrigerant can be made intensive.

    • PURPOSE:To enable always getting a unit needed by an executioner by providing a plurality of kinds of room units, a single or a plurality of kinds of outdoor units and a plurality kinds of decompressing units having only a decompressor and constituting an air conditioner by assembling these units. CONSTITUTION:A decompressor by which refrigerant is expanded adiabatically into gas-liquid phase refrigerating medium of low pressure is constructed in a unit independent from room units 11A, 11B1, 11B2, 11C1, 11C2 and 11C3 and an outdoor unit 1. Therefore, if the respective units of respective volumes are produced in expectation, production cost can be reduced and delivery of goods can be done in a short time. An executioner selects the room unit, outdoor unit and decompressing unit 7A-7D according to an equipment manual, orders them to a manufacturer and assembles them. These units can be gotten any time, and an equipment can be completed without fail by a time limit even if making of the equipment manual is delayed.

    • PURPOSE:To restrict a development of frost adhered to a heat exchanger and prevent a reduction of a heating capability by a method wherein the frosting at the heat exchanger is detected and when the frosted state is discriminated, a capacity of a compressor is reduced. CONSTITUTION:A pressure Ps at a suction side of a compressor 1 is detected by a pressure sensor 11 every time a predetermined time interval of DELTAT second elapses. A value delta which is preset in a micro-computer (not shown) or the like (for example, 2/5 kg/cm ) is compared with a pressure Ps at a suction side of the compressor. When the pressure Ps at the suction side of the compressor is lower than delta, a heat exchanging performance of an outdoor heat exchanger 5 is decreased to judge that a frosting speed is increased. A frequency (Hz = Hz - DELTAHz) in which the driving frequency Hz of a compressor is reduced by DELTAHz (for example, 3Hz) is calculated and then a frequency value Hz having the aforesaid reduced result is outputted to the driving invertor for the compressor. With such an arrangement, an evaporating pressure of an outdoor side heat exchanger 5 is increased and a freezing cycle is formed in a region having a slow frosting speed, thereby a reduction in a heating capability can be delayed and a comfortable feeling in a room can be kept for a long period of time.

    • PURPOSE:To enable an efficient and economic operation of a compressor to be carried out by a method wherein a pressure adjusting valve capable of changing a high pressure with an electrical signal is arranged, a pressure is detected in such a way as it may become a pressure value suitable for an operating condition, the pressure is fed back to a control device and the electrical signal is made variable. CONSTITUTION:As a condensing temperature is decreased during an intermediate period or winter season or by some cause, a value (Ps) detected by a low pressure sensor 7 is sent to a control device 8 together with a detected value (Pd) of a high pressure sensor 6, a calculation of Pd/Ps is performed and an electrical signal is sent from the control device 7 to a pressure adjusting valve controlling part 5a so as to keep Pd at a specified ratio in respect to Ps. Accordingly, a high pressure bypassing part 5b normally kept closed is opened to supply the high pressure to a pressure reducing device 4 and at the same time a condensing pressure is increased and the high pressure is kept high. As a result, in case that a capacity of the compressor is controlled, it is determined by a required pressure of Pd/Ps, resulting in that the compressor has no burden and so a high efficient control for the operation can be carried out.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify and facilitate the installation work when a number of indoor units varying in type and capacity are set in combination with one another by connecting the respective refrigerant branch pipes in series and employing pipes for the main pipe between adjacent refrigerant branch pipes with the same size. CONSTITUTION:A main pipe 4 which connects the outdoor unit 1 with the first refrigerant branch pipe 3 conforms in size with a connection pipe specified by an outdoor unit. A main pipe 5 which connects said branch pipe 3 with its following refrigerant branch pipe 3 conforms in size with the main pipe 4 being connected to the refrigerant branch pipe 3, therefore, its size become the same with that of the connection piping specified by the outdoor unit. After repeating the connection of a plurality of subsequent refrigerant branch pipes 3 an anchor refrigerant branch pipe 8 is connected only to an indoor unit 2, the size of the anchor pipe 8 conforms with that of a connection piping specified by an indoor unit. Thus the main pipes 4, 5, 6, 7 at all the sections except the anchor one are of the same size while the rest are all pipes specified by the indoor units in size so that, in the field work, there are no possibilities of wrong connection of pipes with regard to size.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate switching to unload operation and full-load operation by providing a bypass pipe, through which a suction chamber communicates with an enclosed chamber, in the end plate of a fixed scroll and mounting an opening and closing valve to be interposed halfway the bypass pipe. CONSTITUTION:A pair of bypass holes 1g are provided in an end plate 1a of a fixed scroll 1 in a scroll compressor. Each bypass hole 1g is formed in a position in which it is opened respectively to paired enclosed chambers 5a in the time of maximum volume while closed by a turning scroll lap 2b when the enclosed chamber 5a obtains the volume suited to unload operation decreased smaller by the predetermined volume than the maximum volume by the motion of a turning scroll 2. These bypass holes 1g communicate with a suction chamber 1e by bypass pipes 19 interposing an opening and closing valve 18. The opening and closing valve 18 is controlled so as to close in the time of full-load operation while so as to open in the time of unload operation.
