    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferromagnetic metallic compound film which can be used for high-density recording, by fixing saturated magnetic flux density of the film within a specific range, and making vertical anisotropy energy of the compound film controllable to an arbitrary value in a specific range by controlling the size and thickness of the area where the atoms invaded into the compound film are regularly arranged. SOLUTION: A ferromagnetic metallic compound film is formed on a single-crystal substrate and composed of a body-centered tetragonal crystal, which is formed on a single-crystal substrate and in which nonmagnetic atoms of N or C are made to infiltrate into at least one kind of ferromagnetic metallic atoms selected from among Fe, Co, and Ni and a magnetic recording medium is constituted in a mutilayered film containing at least one ferromagnetic metallic compound film thus formed. For an Fe16 N2 single-crystal film formed on a single-crystal substrate, the vertical anisotropy energy is adjusted to an arbitrary value between 6×10 erg/cc and 25×10 erg/cc when the saturation magnetization of the film is 29.2±0.7 kG. For an Fe-N martensite film, the vertical anisotropy energy varies between 1×10 erg/cc and 5×10 erg/cc, when the saturated magnetic flux density is 24.2±0.5 kG at a room temperature.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device which has high reliability by accelerating excellent flux reversal of a magnetic recording medium in microwave assist recording.SOLUTION: A retraction part from an ABS surface is provided at a track width-directional end of a bottom surface of an FGL laminate film for high-frequency magnetic field generation. Alternatively, the FGL laminate film is sectioned in an inverted trapezoid shape (along a plane perpendicular to a direction in which a current flow) or increases in sectional area away from a main magnetic pole side. An excellent recording pattern is formed on a recording medium, so while the recording density of an information recording device can be increased, the reliability is improved, thereby lowering the cost eventually.
