摘要： A levelling apparatus for an AC elevator comprises a vector control unit (VC) for independently controlling a torque current component (It) and an exciting current component (Im) fed to an elevator drive induction motor (2). A difference between a level correction speed instruction, which increases in proportion to a level difference between an elevator car (10) and a target floor, and a rotation angular speed ( omega r) of the motor attributes to a torque current instruction (It). The torque current instruction is used as an instruction for the torque current component and corrected by a load on the elevator car, so that the level difference can be corrected at the level correction speed with high accuracy without being affected by passengers who get on or off the elevator car.

SOLUTION: At the time of operating a silver operation switch 122 arranged at an entrance of an escalator and for lowering the speed of the escalator to 1/2-3/4 when the escalator is not crowded, in order to know whether the escalator is crowded or not, a load detecting unit 15 discriminates whether the motor output is larger or smaller than 50%, and performs the silver operation at the only time when the escalator is not crowded. When the escalator is not crowded, after an announce is given by a speaker 132, a contractor 92 is opened and a first switching means 8 is closed so as to switch a driving motor 5 from the direct power feeding from a three-phase alternating current power source 6 to the power feeding from a power converting unit 7 so as to control an inverter 73, and speed of the escalator is gradually lowered so as to transfer the operation to the silver operation (at a middle speed).

SOLUTION: An escalator device is provided with a first opening/closing means 8 and an inverter device without a regenerative function, and a second opening/closing means 9 connected in parallel to them. At the time of upward operation, the first opening/closing means 8 is closed and controlled by the inverter device. At the time of downward operation, starting and acceleration are performed by the inverter device, and after completing acceleration, electric power is directly supplied from a power source through the second opening/ closing means 9 to operate. Deceleration from high speed to low speed is made less than free running deceleration to dispense with regenerative power processing function.

The changeover device 6 of the communication line 3 connects the communication line of the number B machine to the receiver of the communication equipment master unit 1 corresponding to the signals from the identification device 5.
