    • A switch box includes an optical-axis-changeover switch for headlamps, an on/off-changeover switch for the headlamps and a starter switch arranged on the same operation board. A main switch can turn on and off a main electric source of an MUV 1 in cooperation with a portable key. The switch box and the main switch are arranged on the instrument panel. The switch box is partially or fully disposed in a projective area of the steering wheel in a driver's eyesight. The starter switch is made to be of a push-type, whereas the optical-axis-changeover switch and the on/off-changeover switch for the headlamps are made to be of a seesaw-type. A segment display of a meter device includes a unit indication member for switchably indicating kilometer indication and mile indication by displaying only an arbitrary display element of a plurality of display elements arranged adjacently to each other in a horizontal direction.

    • A dedicated short-range communication on-vehicle apparatus easily attachable on a wind shield of the motor vehicle includes an antenna, a radio module, a data processing unit and others contained in a single box-like housing. The antenna (8) has directivity in a predetermined orientation. The radio module (10) performs transmission/reception of radio wave with road-side radio equipment through the antenna (8). The data processing unit (11) processes data transferred through the radio module (10). The box-like housing (4) houses the antenna (8), the radio module (10) and the data processing unit (11) en bloc. The box-like housing (4) is fixedly attached onto a windshield (3) of the motor vehicle at a mounting plate (4a) of the housing (4) on the antenna radiation side by an adhesive member (30). A radio wave aperture portion of the mounting plate (4a) is made of a radio wave transmissible material.

    • The present invention provides a charged particle beam apparatus capable of preventing the charging-up of the specimen without using a large-scale facility. A scanning electron microscope 100 illuminates a specimen 21 with a charged particle beam via a charged particle optical system arranged in a column. According to the present invention, the scanning electron microscope 100 has a charge preventive member 110 disposed between the objective lens 14 and the specimen 21. The charge preventive member 110 has an electrically conductive portion and an opening 113 to transmit the charged particle beam. The charge preventive member 110 is formed so as to partly cover the charged particle optical system when viewed from the charged particle beam irradiation spot on the specimen. In addition, the charge preventive member 110 has gas inflow paths 114 and 115 formed therein. These gas inflow paths have gas injection outlets 116 formed to inject gas toward the charged particle beam irradiation spot on the specimen.
