      SOLUTION: The induction motor comprises: a rotating shaft 1; a laminated core 2 that is fixedly connected to the rotating shaft 1; a plurality of conductors 3 that are arranged in open slots formed at prescribed intervals in the circumferential direction of the laminated core 2, and are long in the axial direction of the laminated core 2; and a pair of short-circuiting rings 4 that are arranged at both ends of the laminated core 2 in the axial direction, and short-circuits the plurality of conductors 3 with one another. The plurality of conductors 3 and the short-circuiting rings 4 are formed of metal-group composite materials.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a magnetic bearing device by dispensing with a distance sensor.
      SOLUTION: Ring-shaped two electromagnets 10a, 10b and permanent magnets 16a, 16b are mounted through a controlled member 30, and a PWM power source 15 applies the electric power to a bridge circuit composed of the electromagnets and two load elements 17a, 17b. A signal processing circuit 18 receives signals from output terminals OUT1 and OUT2 of the bridge circuit, and operates the difference in amplitudes of the receives signals. When the controlled member 30 is displaced in the a or b direction, the difference in amplitudes is not zero, so that the signal processing circuit 18 operates the adjustment voltage to equalize inductances of two electromagnets 10a, 10b. The adjustment voltage is compensated by a compensating circuit 14 to stabilize the close circuit characteristic of a control system, and supplied to the PWM power source 15, whereby the PWM power source 15 adjusts the outputted average voltage by modulating pulse widths.

The current is supplied from a power supply to each unit through a bus line 22 enabling the supply in multi-drop.
