    • A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a plurality of data lines each having a plurality of straight line portions and a plurality of curved portions connected to a plurality of the straight line portions; a plurality of gate lines intersecting the data lines; thin film transistors connected to the data lines and the gate lines; and pixel electrodes connected to the thin film transistors. Accordingly, even in a case where driver inversion becomes column inversion, apparent inversion can become dot inversion. As a result, it is possible to eliminate transverse line flicker and to increase a charging rate of pixels. In addition, uniformity of the pixels can be maintained, so that the inversion driving schemes can be applied to a PVA mode. As a result, it is possible to obtain a wide viewing angle and to improve side or lateral visibility.

    • An array substrate includes a base substrate, a plurality of pixel electrodes, a plurality of first conductive lines, a plurality of second conductive lines and a plurality of semiconductor patterns. The pixel electrodes are disposed on the base substrate. The first conductive lines are disposed between the pixel electrodes. The second conductive lines cross the first conductive lines at crossing parts to form a matrix shape. At least two of the second conductive lines are disposed between adjacent pixel electrodes. A distance between the two second conductive lines corresponding to the crossing parts is substantially a maximum distance between the two second conductive lines along a length of the two second conductive lines. The semiconductor patterns are disposed on the crossing parts, respectively. Each of the semiconductor patterns has a greater area than each of the crossing parts. A distance between adjacent semiconductor patterns is smaller than the maximum distance.

    • A liquid crystal display includes first pixels and second pixels, a plurality of gate lines to transmit gate signals, and a plurality of pairs of first and second data lines crossing the gate lines, the pairs of first data lines and second data lines facing each other with a pixel interposed there between. Each of the first pixels and the second pixels includes pixel electrode and each pixel electrode includes a first sub-pixel electrode and a second sub-pixel electrode. A first drain is electrode disposed on the right of the first data line, and a second drain electrode is disposed on the left of the second data line. The first drain electrode is connected to the first sub-pixel electrode while the second drain electrode is connected to the second sub-pixel electrode in the first pixels, and the first drain electrode is connected to the second sub-pixel electrode while the second drain electrode is connected to the first sub-pixel electrode in the second pixels. The first drain electrode of the first pixel has substantially the same shape as the second drain electrode of the second pixel, and the first drain electrode of the second pixel has substantially the same shape as the second drain electrode of the first pixel.
