    • The invention concerns a window assembly in a vehicle having a window pane that is fixed in a window frame that is also used for movable windows, and a method for mounting the fixed window pane in the window assembly. The method may include: mounting a window mounting assembly to a vehicle structure adjacent to the window opening; sliding the window pane into run channels of the vehicle window frame; mounting a lower edge of the window pane onto a peripheral support surface of a window support cam of the window mounting assembly; rotating a cam lobe of the window support cam into contact with the lower edge of the window pane until the window pane slides upward into a fully closed position; and locking the window support cam, against rotation allowing the window pane to lower, as the window pane is lifted into the fully closed position.

    • A vehicle door is disclosed that has a movable window and a window regulator including a regulator rail and a regulator slider slidably mounted on the regulator rail and engaging the window for movement between a closed position and a fully open position. The door also has a window down stop stabilizer assembly including a position detecting assembly that detects when the window is in the fully open position, a bumper movable between a first position spaced from the window and a second position in contact with the window, and a bumper actuator that moves the bumper into and out of contact with the window. When the window is in the fully open position, the bumper actuator will move the bumper into the second position and when the window is not in the fully open position, the bumper actuator will move the bumper into the first position.

The window assembly includes a window and a window regulator bracket assembly. The window is slidable into the window enclosure. The window regulator bracket assembly includes a support rod having an upper end mounted to the body structure and a lower end with threads. The window regulator bracket assembly also includes a spring housing slidably received on the lower end of the support rod, a compression spring, a support nut threadably received on the threaded portion in engagement with the spring plate, and a support jaw engaging the bottom edge of the window. The support nut is screwed onto the support rod against the bias of the spring to secure the window in its closed position.

    • An attachment member including an integral adhesive channel and a method of adhering an attachment member to a substrate includes adhering the member to the substrate using a first adhesive attached to the member to form a gap between the substrate and a bonding surface of the member defined by a perimeter edge. The first adhesive may be a pressure sensitive adhesive. The member defines a channel including a first opening configured to receive a second adhesive, which may be a flowable adhesive. The channel includes a second opening in fluid communication with the bonding surface. After adhering the member to the substrate with the first adhesive, the flowable adhesive is dispensed through the channel and into the gap such that the dispensed flowable adhesive is contained in the gap within the perimeter edge of the bonding surface. The flowable adhesive forms a bond between the substrate and the member.
