    • The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for improving the performance of a natural language parser. During training, natural language inputs are processed such that statistical information is extracted, concerning the frequency of attachment of certain phrase types of interest to certain other host phrase types. In one embodiment, only unambiguous attachments are examined during training. During runtime this statistical information is used in cases where the attachment of some phrase type of interest is ambiguous. In such cases, the statistical model is used to evaluate the relative likelihood of the alternative attachments resulting in a good interpretation. A syntactic representation can be produced for each alternative attachment that the statistical model deems likely to result in a good interpretation.

    • An all glass slide-over rear door for vehicle and camper shells is provided. The all glass door is pivotally attached to the roof of the vehicle with two hinges that are slidably accommodated in a pair of parallel tracks mounted to the roof of the shell or vehicle. Two gas props connect an inside surface of the door to the opposing sides of the rear opening. The gas props are pivotally connected to the inside surface of the door and each prop is further connected to a bracket mounted on one of the opposing sides of the rear opening by way of an offset link. The offset link provides lateral clearance between the prop and the side of the rear opening and further lowers the overall height of the rear door when the rear door is in the fully open position.

    • The present invention relates to a new type of safety system that is designed to protect a vehicle occupant during a rollover crash. The safety system will generally include a vehicle seat and a sensor. The sensor is designed to sense the occurrence of a rollover crash. The safety system also includes a support member that has an undeployed mode and a deployed mode. The support member converts from the undeployed mode into the deployed mode when a signal is received from the sensor indicating a rollover. The support member will generally be housed within the vehicle seat when the support member is in the undeployed mode. The support member is also anchored to the floor pan of the vehicle. When the support member is deployed into the deployed mode, the support member is disposed in effective engagement with the vehicle roof to limit movement of the roof toward the vehicle seat during rollover conditions. Accordingly, the likelihood that the vehicle roof will be collapsed onto the vehicle occupant during a crash is significantly reduced.
