    • The present disclosure is directed to a mobile machine, such as hydronic surface heater designed to be transported to a potentially remote worksite and operated for an extended period of time. The machine has a fueled component, such as a burner, fueled by a fuel supply system having at least two fuel tanks that are operably connected to one another by a connection line having an electronically controlled valve therein. The valve is coupled to the machine's electrical system, such as being coupled to the output of the machine's main breaker, so as to be opened whenever the machine is operating but to be otherwise closed. The fuel supply system thus has, in effect, a single tank when the machine is running and multiple separated tanks when the machine is not running. Fuel spill risks therefore are mitigated without having to sacrifice operating time and without significantly complicating the machine's fuel supply systems or its controls.

    • The present invention relates to a handle (10a) for attaching to a flashlight (8) to form a baton (6). The flashlight (8) is of the type comprising a switch (2) for activating the flashlight light. The handle (10a) comprises a handle body (20a), attachment means for attaching said handle body (20a) to a flashlight (8), and an actuator fitted to said handle body (20a). When the handle body (20a) is attached to the flashlight (8) such that said actuator is positioned in register with the switch (2), actuation of the actuator will actuate the switch (2). A baton (6) comprising the handle (10a), a kit for forming the baton (6) and a method for forming the baton (6) are also provided.

    • A method and apparatus for treating a fluid to destroy, remove or reduce undesirable agents, such as microorganisms, particles or ions, contained in the fluid and/or to inhibit the formation of scale. At least two charge carrying bodies or electrodes are spaced from one another by a gap located in or very close to the fluid, and a high voltage and high frequency cyclically varying voltage difference is imposed on the two bodies which creates a charge related cyclically varying electric field extending between the two bodies, across the gap and into the fluid to exert a treating effect on the fluid. The charge related electric field may be used by itself or in combination with other fields created by one or more electric coils associated with the fluid. Where two coils are used, their magnetic fields can be axially bucking and an axial gap between these coils has an axial width of an optimum value yielding an optimum fluid treatment effectiveness for the fields near the gap.
