In this case, by mixing an antioxidant by 1wt.% to the oil, deterioration due to oxidation of the roller 29 after used for 10000 sheets can be decreased compared to a conventional method. Thus, damages of the roller 29 can be decreased.

SOLUTION: The releasing agent coating device is provided with the feeder consisting of a motor, a gear, etc., of the same member as a cleaner 9 and a sheet 30 as the coating member impregnated with oil as the releasing agent is moved at a feed rate of 2mm per copy sheet for instance, while being pressed against a fixing roller 1 by a sheet pressure roller 31. In this sheet 30, as an example, very small porous PTFE is formed on a heat-resistant member. Therefore, the capacity to hold the oil of the sheet 30 becomes very great. When the porous surface of the PTFE comes into contact with the fixing roller 1, the oil inside is efficiently moved toward the fixing roller 1. Since the surface energy of the material of the sheet 30 is low, paper powder and toner are hardly stuck to the surface and the oil is stably and uniformly supplied onto the fixing roller 1.
