摘要： An In The Ear (ITE) microphone improves the acoustic response of a Behind The Ear (BTE) Implantable Cochlear Stimulation (ICS) system during telephone use. An acoustic seal provided by holding a telephone earpiece against the ear provides improved coupling of low frequency (up to about 1 KHz) sound waves, sufficient to overcome losses due to the near field acoustic characteristics common to telephones. In an exemplary embodiment, the ITE microphone is connected to a removable ear hook of the BTE ICS system by a short bendable stalk.

摘要： Carpet backing is prepared from carpet scrap by first comminuting the carpet scrap into fragments and then melting and fusing the carpet scrap fragments together to render molten fragments. The resulting molten fragments containing synthetic resins are then formed into agglomerates. The pellets are then ground into a fine powder. A slurry may be prepared from the ground powder and a carrier. The ground powder may, alternatively, be mixed with a polyurethane reactive mixture, aqueous polymer containing emulsion or a thermoplastic composition such as bitumen, polypropylene or polyethylene. The resulting polymeric coating is coated onto a substrate. The coated substrate is then hardened.

摘要： The mining machine can serve a dual function, as a road header or as a continuous miner. The machine has a turrent 14 into which a road header assembly can be directly pivotally mounted. Alternatively a continuous miner cutter assembly can be pivotally mounted on the turret, indirectly via transversely disposed pivot extension brackets 45 which are firstly mounted on the turret to extend the pivot axis forwardly of that of the road header assembly. Each bracket has three bores 46-48 in triangular disposition, two of which 46, 47 fixedly connect the bracket to the turret while the third bore 48, forwardly of the others provide the pivotal connection for the parallel arms 40 of the continuous miner.

摘要： A system for efficiently and ergonomically waterproofing a weakness area of a roof. The system includes an airless sprayer system capable of attaching to one or more attachments. The airless sprayer system is connected to a reservoir containing a waterproofing liquid. The attachments include an encapsulating attachment and a duckbilled attachment, either attachment capable of connecting to an extending wand. The system may be used atop a roof by either placing the encapsulating attachment over a fastener or the duckbilled end over a seam and pulling the trigger of a spray gun of the airless sprayer system until either the fastener or seam are sufficiently covered in waterproofing liquid. By connecting the wand therebetween the spray gun and the attachment, the user of the system may be able to remain standing when applying the waterproofing liquid. A method for efficiently and ergonomically waterproofing a roof weakness using the system.
