      SOLUTION: The toner external additive for electrostatic image development comprises spherical polydiorganosiloxanated silica fine particles having an average particle diameter of primary particles of 0.01-5 μm obtained by mixing (A) spherical hydrophilic silica fine particles prepared by cohydrolysis and condensation reaction of a tetraalkoxysilane and/or a partial hydrolytic condensation product thereof with (B) a polydiorganosiloxane having a hydrolyzable silyl group but not having a hydrophilic group, reacting the hydrophilic silica fine particles with the polydiorganosiloxane (B), and reacting the silica fine particles after the reaction with (C) a silazane compound and/or a silane compound. The toner with the external additive added is also provided.

There are provided the toner external additive composed of the fine particle, and the toner that is obtained by externally adding the toner external additive.
