    • To provide a movable body detecting/notifying system that is capable of determining and reporting whether another movable body exists behind an obstruction or at a position that can be verified by the sense of sight. A movable body detecting/notifying system allows a detecting movable body to detect and report a detected movable body by using electromagnetic wave communication. The detected movable body transmits a large-wavelength electromagnetic wave easily diffractable by an obstruction as well as a small-wavelength electromagnetic wave not easily diffractable by an obstruction at the same time. The detecting movable body generates a notice for reception of only the large-wavelength electromagnetic wave without the small-wavelength electromagnetic wave or a notice for reception of both the large-wavelength and small-wavelength electromagnetic waves different from the notice for reception of only the large-wavelength electromagnetic wave.

    • An optical-electric conversion connector configured to be connected to a mating connector. The optical-electric conversion connector includes an optical semiconductor element for converting between an optical signal and an electrical signal; a supporting member for supporting the optical semiconductor element; a contact member connected to the optical semiconductor element for contacting with a mating contact member of the mating connector; a first resin member formed of a transparent resin for integrally holding the optical semiconductor element, the supporting member, and the contact member, and a second resin member mounted on an outer surface of the first resin member.     • A computer architecture and programming model for high speed processing over broadband networks are provided. The architecture employs a consistent modular structure, a common computing module and uniform software cells. The common computing module includes a control processor, a plurality of processing units, a plurality of local memories from which the processing units process programs, a direct memory access controller and a shared main memory. A synchronized system and method for the coordinated reading and writing of data to and from the shared main memory by the processing units also are provided. A processing system for processing tasks is also provided. The processing system includes processing devices and an absolute timer. The absolute timer defines a time budget. The time budget provides a time period for the completion of tasks by selected processing devices independent of clock frequencies employed by the processing devices for processing the tasks.
