    • PURPOSE: To control the alloying degree in continuous galvanizing in an adequate range by controlling alloying electric power to the value determined by functions, of steel kind, sheet thickness, sheet width, line speed, deposit and alloying degree. CONSTITUTION: A continuously transported steel strip is subjected to galvanizing and after the steel strip is adjusted to the prescribed deposit of plating, the plating is alloyed in an induction heating and alloying furnace. At this time, the alloying electric power is controlled to the value obtd. by the conditions of the equation which is the relation among the steel kind, sheet thickness, sheet width, line speed, deposit and alloying degree. In the equation, a0 to a5 are the constants given by each of the steel kinds. Further, the alloying degree after alloying is measured online and is substd. into the equation which count back a model error. Calculation with high accuracy is executed by taking this model error as a correction factor into consideration at the time of setting the electric power. As a result, the electric power setting of the alloying furnace is automated and the optimum alloying state is obtd. from the coil top part and, therefore, the length parts of the alloying defect are drastically decreased and the yield is improved.
