摘要： An image processing method and device realizing a high versatility and a learning accuracy and having a designability of high degree of freedom. A medical image prepared as a teacher input image is subjected to different image processings during learning to create teacher feature images, and a teacher output image is created from the medical image. The pixel values of the pixels at the same position of the teacher input image including the teacher feature images is inputted into a discriminator (20). Learning of the discriminator (20) is carried out so that the difference between the output value from the discriminator (20) and the pixel value of the pixel at the pixel position in the teacher output image can be reduced. 摘要： A basic component of Computer-Aided Detection systems for digital mammography consists of generating candidate mass locations suitable for further analysis. A component is described that relies on filtering either the background image or the complementary foreground mammographic detail by a purely signal processing method on the one hand or a processing method based on a physical model on the other hand. The different steps of the signal processing approach consist of band-pass filtering the image by one or more band pass filters, multidimensional clustering, iso-contouring of the distance to centroid of the one or more filtered values, and finally candidate generation and segmentation by contour processing. The physics-based approach also filters the image to retrieve a fat-corrected image to model the background of the breast, and the resulting image is subjected to a blob detection filter to model the intensity bumps on the foreground component of the breast that are associated with mass candidates.

摘要： An image processing method and an image processing apparatus characterized by excellent versatility, superb learning accuracy and a high degree of freedom in designing are provided. 摘要： In the present methods, the automatic detection of polyps is converted into a 2D pattern recognition problem using conformal mapping and direct volume rendering. The colon surface is first segmented and extracted from the CT data set of the abdomen, which is then mapped to a 2D plane using conformal mapping. Ray casting is used to determine sub-surface density values and the flattened image is rendered using a volume rendering technique with a translucent electronic biopsy transfer function. Polyp candidates are detected by a clustering method which identifies regions of elevated sub-surface density. The potential for false positives is reduced by analyzing the volumetric shape and texture features of the polyp candidate regions.

For each candidate location, sub-volumes of at least two different scales are cropped out. Each sub-volume comprises a plurality of voxels. For each of the sub-volumes, each sub-volume is rotated in at least two different orientations. A shape classifier is applied to each sub-volume. If the voxels in the sub-volume pass the shape classifier, a gradient direction is computed for the voxels. If the gradient direction for the voxels is one of a predefined orientation, a probability classifier is applied to the voxels. A probability measure computed by the probability classifier as a confidence measure is used for the sub-volume.
