摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switchgear which makes an insulation rod unnecessary, thereby saving the weight of movable portions, and has high-speed response and good assembling ability. SOLUTION: The switchgear comprises a switch part 3 composed of a stationary electrode 1 and a movable electrode 2, an electrode rod 5 extending from the movable electrode 2, a movable shaft 6 transmitting driving force to the electrode rod 5, and an operating mechanism 9 transmitting the driving force to the movable shaft 6 to perform the switch operation of the switch part 3. The operating mechanism is equipped with a driving mechanism having a movable coil 11 and respective stationary coils 12, 13 for opening and closing and a holding mechanism 8 having contact pressure-making open springs 14. The movable shaft 6 is made from an insulating member, thereby making an insulating rod for preventing intervention of a current from the switch part 3, which has heretofore been used, unnecessary, and so the weight of the switchgear can be saved by this part, and the assembling ability is improved.

A component parallel to a contact surface of its own electrode 1 with a foot part of the arc, of the magnetic flux density acting as the arc driving force is 0.01 Tesla or more to a current of 1 kA at any position of the contact surface in a range of 0.5 mm from the contact surface.
