    • A coupler device (10) for coupling an endoscope assembly (11,12) to a camera head (18) includes a housing (14) that defines an enclosed light path extending along an optical axis (17) between first (15) and second (16) end portions of the housing together with mounting components (33,35) for attaching the first end portion (15) of the housing to an endoscope hub (12) and the second end portion (16) of the housing to a camera head (18) so that the light path extends toward the camera head. A single lens (40) mounted within the housing intermediate the first and second end portions magnifies an image from the endoscope in order to provide a magnified image to the camera head. A quick-release arrangment (32,33) in one embodiment enables attachment of the endoscope by advancing the endoscope assembly (11,12) axially without having to rotate it while a focusing ring (26) enables fine focusing adjustments.

    • An elastic port protector (24) closing the end of a tubular port (20), typically on a peritoneal dialysis solution or parenteral solution bag (10). The port protector defines an outer tubular section (26) having inner and outer ends (28, 30) and with an inner diameter which is less than the outer diameter of the tubular port on which it is intended to reside. An inner tubular section (32) is connected to the outer tubular section at the outer end (30) and is capable of occupying the bore of the tubular port (20) in telescoping relation thereto. The inner tubular section has an outer diameter greater than the inner diameter of the tubular port, to fit into the bore of the tubular port in sealing relation. Handle means (40) is carried on the outer tubular section to aid in removal of the port protector.

    • An electrolyte gel matrix, which may be a conductive adhesive such as a urethane hydrogel, is located in a cavity formed in a non-conductive tray. The matrix is adapted to engage the skin of a patient and transmit signals between the skin and an electrode conductor supported by the base of the tray for exchanging signals with peripheral equipment. A stiffening platform adhered to the tray extends across the cavity portion aligned with the conductor to minimize motion artifacts associated with the use of the electrode. The electrode is removably attachable to the skin by an adhesive layer on the lower surface of the tray and by a preferably more aggressive adhesive layer on the lower surface of the platform.
