    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splitting machine for non-ductile material which can control the stress acting on an inner wall face of a hole to the optimum value, can split a non-ductile material safely and with high precision, can be managed easily, and does not limit the use environment at the same time. SOLUTION: A splitting machine for non-ductile material 1 is provided with an ultramagnetic striction material 3, a coil 5 which is arranged around the ultramagnetic striction material 3 and applies a magnetic field to the ultramagnetic striction material 3, a pressurizing member 7 displaced due to the elongation of the ultramagnetic striction material 3, and a pressing member 11 pushed out in the direction of diameter expansion due to the displacement of the pressurizing member 7. The pressing member 11 is inserted into a hole of a non-ductile material and the ultramagnetic striction material 3 is elongated to expand a diameter of the pressing member 11 so that a pressing load acts on a hole wall.

    • PURPOSE: To destruct a rock bad efficiently by proving an idle wedge having a pair of inclined faces which differ in inclination angles between a wedge part of a wedge rod and a wedge part of a housing which opposes to it, letting a loose inclined face act in the former half period of pressing in the wedge rod, and letting a sharp inclined face act after pressing-in progresses. CONSTITUTION: A prepared hole is drilled in a rock bed by a rock drill, and a rock splitting machine 1 is inserted therein to operate a hydraulic cylinder 12 so that a wedge rod 20 is advanced. An inclined face 23 of a wedge part 21 (B), inclined faces 32, 31 of an idle wedge 30 (B), and an inclined face of a support wedge 42 come in slide-contact mutually to push up the idle wedge and the support wedge. For this reason, an upper housing 40 is pushed out. When it advances further, an idle wedge 30 (A), a wedge part 21 (A), the idle wedge 30 (B), and the wedge part 21 (B) come in slide-contact mutually so that the idle wedges 30 (A), 30 (B) and the upper housing 40 inflate in the radial direction. Consequently, the destruction of the rock bed progresses. As a result, it is possible to destruct the rock bed efficiently.

    • PURPOSE:To perform automation by a method wherein a pressure gauge and a timer are arranged to a control device to feed an oil pressure to a plurality of rock crackers and when an oil pressure is reduced or an oil pressure feed continuing time exceeds a set value, the feed of oil is stopped. CONSTITUTION:A rod-form rock cracker 1 to crush a rock through expansion created by an oil pressure is inserted in a hole drilled in a rock-bed. A pump unit 2 is operated and by operation of a control unit arranged to a booster unit 3, the rock cracker 1 is selected to feed oil thereto. A pressure signal from a pressure gauge 18 is read at the control unit and when a pressure attains a predetermined rated value, a timer is actuated. When a detected oil pressure is reduced (when a rock-bed is cracked), or when an oil feed continuing time exceeds a set value, a solenoid valve 5 of the rock cracker 1 is closed to stop the feed of oil and a solenoid valve 5 of the different cracker 1 is opened to feed oil. This constitution performs an automatic and high-efficient work to pressurize, in order, the rock crackers 1.
