    • A movable filter system is provided for moving one or more filters of a filter assembly between an operative position and a maintenance position. In one embodiment, a filter assembly (110) is secured to a telescoping rod assembly (120) so that it may be moved between operative and maintenance positions. Positioning the rod assembly (120) vertically allows gravity to move the rod assembly (120) to an extended position, and a winch (112) and cable (104) may be used to move the rod assembly (120) to a retracted position. Keyways and channels may be used within the rods of the telescoping rod assembly (120) so as to maintain rotational positioning of the filter assembly.

    • A powder paint reclamation collector (46) includes an upper chamber (48) for collecting powder paint particles from a paint booth and a lower chamber (50) that receives the particles from the upper chamber (48). A vacuum line (52) communicates with the lower chamber (50) retrieving the particles from the collector (46) and transferring the particles to a reclamation system. An air chamber (54) receives pressurized air from an air supply (58) and communicates with the lower chamber (50) through a porous plate (56). Air bleeds through the porous plate (56) into lower and upper chambers (50, 48) for fluidizing the paint particles. The porous plate (56) and an air chamber floor (60) angle downward from the lower chamber (50) towards the vacuum line (52) to improve the flow of fluidized paint particles into the vacuum line (52).

    • A spray application system includes an enclosed spraybooth area in which airborne particles are generated and a scrubber system is located below the enclosed spraybooth area. The scrubber system (26) includes an inlet (36) receiving water and air from the spraybooth area along with airborne particles.     • According to the invention, a system and method for controlling air flow through the interior of a powder spray booth (12), includes a powder collection system (14) for collecting oversprayed powder from the interior of the spray booth (12). The powder collection system (14) includes a powder collector (14) with a powder collection chamber (44),, a pulse plenum chamber (60), and a fan plenum chamber (90) containing a motor driven fan (98) for drawing the air-entrained powder into the fan plenum chamber (90) so that the oversprayed powder is collected on the cartridge filters (58) and filtered air is exhausted from the fan plenum chamber (90) through one or more final filters (98). A control system automatically adjusts the speed the motor driven fan (98) in response to pressure changes in the pulse plenum chamber (60) and the fan exhaust chamber (90) so that a substantially constant air flow is maintained through the powder collector.
