The blocks 10, 20 can be connected with fixed interval by gripping the connection device locking parts 12, 22 of the blocks 10, 20 arranged by opposing rear surface parts by a grip part 52d of the block connection device 50.

CONSTITUTION:A boring hole is bored in a ground 1, a strut 5 is erected, the hole is filled with mortar 6, and plural struts 5 are buried in a horizontal direction. The ground 1 is excavated by a size equal to a unit depth l which is shorter than that of the strut, an earth wall 7 having a vertical wall surface is built, and a pat of the strut 5 is exposed. A concrete body 8, forming a pat of a retaining wall, is placed by the use of the exposed strut 5 serving as a core, the wall surface of the earth wall 7 is covered with the concrete body 8, and the above processes are repeated. This enables the earth wall surface to be formed vertically, reduces a space required for construction of a retaining wall, and permits a structure to be built on a rocky ground.
