      SOLUTION: The combine harvester has a feed chain 5 and a threshing cylinder 6 for threshing grain culms, a treating cylinder 7 for receiving and retreating the waste of the threshing from the threshing cylinder 6, a first conveyor 54 for collecting the grains through a swinging selection board 44, and a second conveyor 57 for taking out tailing return in a threshing part 4. A retreating rotor 147 is installed in a delivering opening 146 side of a returning conveyor 58 receiving the tailing return from the second conveyor 57.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pick-up device which softens the impacts of pick-up actions to prevent a problem that the reaping failure of lodged straws, the shedding or breakage of standing straws and the like are caused with a portion of the pick-up apparatus, when crops existing in both a lodged state and a standing state are simultaneously reaped with a multi-row reaping combine harvester at the same pick-up speed and a problem that tines pass through the ears of short straw crops to loss the grains, when soybeans, buckwheat or the like are harvested.
      SOLUTION: This combine harvester in which a multi-row reaping portion is mounted on the front portion of the machine frame is characterized by driving a tine-having chain 3 with an electric motor 2 disposed in each pick-up case 1 in a state capable of being adjusted to a pick-up speed V1 or V2 suitable for lodged crops, soybeans, buckwheat, or the like, detecting lodged crop resistance values acting on the pick-up cases 1 by sensors S1 to S4 to change the speeds for reaping rows, respectively, disposing an adjustment mechanism in which a variable switch 8 for steplessly changing the whole pick-up speed, and forming the pick-up cases 1 so that the pick-up cases 1 can be inclined in a truncated chevron shape in plan view.

      SOLUTION: A check mechanism 109 for not-opening the unhulled rice feed valve 8 at a set opening degree or more when the directional control valve 33 is switched to circulation side in machine and wholly opening the unhulled rice feed valve 8 when the directional control valve 33 is switched to the taking out side outside the machine; and an operation lever 92 for switching the directional control valve 33 to the circulation side in the machine or the taking out side outside the machine are provided. The check mechanism 109 is constituted such that it is interlocked with the operation lever 92 of the directional control valve 33 to switch the check state or the check release state.
