摘要： A slide mechanism of a portable device and a portable telephone comprising such a slide mechanism is provided for a semi-automatic opening and closing with a simpler structure, as well as for an opening and closing with an improved operability. The slide mechanism slides a first casing and a second casing relative to each other with the first and second casings superposed on each other in a longitudinal direction, thus realizing a closed state where an upper surface of one of the casings is covered with a lower surface of the other casing, as well as an opened state where the upper surface of one of the casings is exposed. In this slide mechanism, a compression spring is swingably provided between both casings, with one end being operatively attached to the first casing and the other end to the second casing, thus slidably biasing both casings relative to each other from a predetermined opening or closing position either in an opening direction or a closing direction.
