摘要： A cold cathode fluorescent lamp includes a glass bulb (16), a protective film (22) formed on an inner face of the glass bulb, and a phosphor layer (24) that overlaps the protective film and that contains blue phosphor particles (26B), green phosphor particles (26) and red phosphor particles (26). The glass bulb has been formed from soda glass, and the blue phosphor particles have been coated with a metal oxide (30). Also, the protective film is made of silica (SiO2). Since the protective film has been provided in the fluorescent lamp and since the blue phosphor particles, which readily deteriorate, have been coated with the metal oxide, a good luminance maintenance rate is obtained. In addition, although the glass bulb of the fluorescent lamp is made of soda glass, since the protective film is made of silica, the fluorescent lamp obtains an initial luminance equivalent to the initial luminance of a fluorescent lamp whose glass bulb is made of borosilicate glass.

Furthermore, the perforated region has a curved surface that is convex to the panel side and a curved surface that is convex to the electron gun side in a region surrounded by the periphery, the x-axis, and the y-axis. Because of this, the color displacement caused by doming can be reduced while a shadow mask is used which is made of an inexpensive iron material, and in which the increase in the difference in elevation in the z-axis direction between a center portion and a diagonal portion of the perforated region is suppressed.

摘要： An adapter for a memory device for connecting a detachable memory device to an AT attachment (ATA) interface of a host computer and a connecting method using the adapter are presented. With a conventional adapter which is not supplied with a number of heads and a number of sectors per track of the memory device in advance, the actual numbers of the memory area of the memory device may be different from those supplied the adapter for a memory device. This prevents the memory device from being normally accessed in a cylinder head sector (CHS) mode by the adapter. The adapter for a memory device according to the present invention identifies a file format of data stored in the memory area in the memory device, and retrieves and saves data about the number of heads and the number of sectors per track. Even if the adapter is not previously supplied with the number of heads and the number of sectors per track of the memory device, it accordingly allows the memory device to be accessed in the CHS mode.
