摘要： An inter-network connection system between a main network (30) having a call setting processor (33) and a subnetwork (34) having a connection control unit with loopback means. In the case of communication within the subnetwork, the loopback means in the subnetwork is actuated by a first signal sent from the call setting processor in the main network, and a communication path for extension is set between the terminals of the subnetwork without passing through a switchboard SW (32) in the main network. In the case of communication between a terminal of the main network and a terminal of the subnetwork, operation of the loopback means of the subnetwork is stopped by a second signal sent from the call setting processor in the main network, and a communication path for line wire is set between the switchboard SW of the main network and the terminal of the subnetwork.

摘要： Disclosed is a digital station apparatus, such as a digital telephone set, capable of being operated in parallel on a subscriber's digital loop (e.g. in an extension mode) without the need to route all the PCM signals to commom equipment. Only one of the parallel sets is active at a time; all the others are passive. In the passive state the telephone set receives only, and does not transmit. It monitors its own signal magnitude relative to the signal magnitude produced by the active "extension" on the same digital loop. When its own signal magnitude has satisfied a comparison criterion, then that passive set becomes active and both transmits and receives, while all other sets on the loop are passive.
