    • A new sealing device (30) which has not a capability of the push-through head portion (19) being re-inserted into the socket portion (2) again after the sealing condition has once been broken and further, a new sealing device (30) can be provided in which the evidence showing the fact that the sealed condition of the sealing device had been broken, intentionally, remains visible on the sealing device. The sealing device (30) is provided with a filament portion (3), a push-through head portion (19) provided at least at one end of the filament portion (3) and having a suitable connecting portion (23) which comprises, for example, a hooked portion, and a socket portion (2) provided at another end of the filament portion (3) and having a hole (10) through which the push-through head portion (19) can pass in one direction but not be withdrawn in the opposite direction, and wherein a stretch strength of the push-through head portion (19) is set at a certain level in that it is smaller than that of the filament portion (3).

    • A security seal of high security and which is not easily defeatable by a tamperer.
      According to this invention a security seal comprises a housing (48, 166) including a cavity (50, 168) having an opening (52, 170) to the ambient. A shackle (12, 14, 16) having opposing ends is secured to the housing (48, 166) at on shackle end. A male locking means (24) is secured to the other shackle end comprising a given bard configuration of at least one bard (40). A female locking means selected from a group of interchangeable different members (84, 96, 98, 108, 120, 120') is secured to the housing (48, 166) within the cavity (50, 168), through a further opening (54, 180) thereof. The female locking means comprising any one of a plurality of different tang locking arrangements each including at least one tang for locking engagement with the at least one barb and the male locking means being received through th housing opening (52, 170) for locking engagement of the at least one barb with the at least one tang regardless the arrangements of the further tangs.
      An auxiliary plug (78, 190) having a recess is used for receiving and securing the selected female locking means (84, 96, 98, 108, 120, 120') within the cavity (50, 168) of the housing (48, 166).
