    • A roller spacing apparatus and an image forming device including the same. The roller spacing apparatus includes a first roller member that is rotatable, a second roller member that is rotatable in a close contact with the first roller member under a predetermined pressure, and at least one spacing part to space apart the first and the second roller members from each other by a predetermined gap such that the first and the second roller members are not in contact with each other when the first and the second roller members are not in use. The spacing part includes a bushing member that has a bushing to rotatably support a shaft of at least one of the first and the second roller members and a lever disposed at the bushing to rotate the bushing, the bushing having an inner diameter part to support the shaft and an outer diameter part, the inner and outer diameter parts being non-concentric circles, and a stopping member to restrict an operation range of the lever.

    • An image forming apparatus includes: an image supporting member; a charge roller for charging the image supporting member; a gap setting member disposed on the charge roller for setting a gap between the image supporting member and the charge roller; and a pressing member disposed at a position corresponding to the gap setting member for pressing the charge roller against the image supporting member. Accordingly, it is possible to form a constant gap between the charge roller and the image supporting member, thereby consistently charging the image supporting member.

    • Aspects of the invention relate to hard imaging apparatus charging devices, imaging assemblies, imaging assemblies charging methods, and hard imaging device image bearing member charging methods. In one aspect, a hard imaging apparatus charging device is disclosed. The charging device includes first and second end members, and an intermediate member connecting the first and second end members. The intermediate member may have a length corresponding to an imaging area of the image bearing member of the hard imaging apparatus. The intermediate member may be configured to charge the imaging area used to form latent images on the image bearing member during hard imaging operations of the hard imaging apparatus. The first and second end members of the charging device may be configured to maintain a predetermined spaced charging clearance between the intermediate member and the imaging area of the image bearing member. The first and second end members and the intermediate member of the charging device include a monolithic layer.
