    • This invention relates to a method for estimating the direction of arrival (DOA) of fixation wave beam in space, which is a gradually refining method for estimating DOA by transforming a single-step search into a multi-step search. The method comprises the following steps: using the typical wave beam formation algorithm to provide the first step search for the user in the total wave beam space of array of antenna, the first step search being performed by total L1 times, the maximal value from gained output power of every times search being taken out to obtain the preliminary search angle which is the maximal value corresponding to the angle of arrival of user; then, in the specified space of the preliminary search angle, using the typical wave beam formation algorithm to provide the second step search for user, the second step search being performed by total L2 times, the maximal value from output power of every times search being taken out to obtain refining search angle which is the maximal value corresponding to angle of arrival of user. Those steps can be executed repeatedly for multi-class search to obtain finally the angle, which is needed by system. L1, L2 are positive integers. Said refining search method not only obtains the needed definition (precision) of angle, but also decreases the quantity of calculation of the system.

    • A device for detecting the position of an RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) tag is provided to sense the position with a small receiving antenna, by using a higher harmonic signal with a wavelength corresponding to a half of the wavelength of a fundamental wave and thus reducing a gap between antenna elements. A device for detecting the position of an RFID tag(104) capable of writing and reading data without contact is composed of an antenna unit(101) having predetermined directivity and receiving a higher harmonic signal generated from the RFID tag; a control unit(102) for controlling the direction that the antenna unit is oriented; and an output unit(103) outputting the position information corresponding to the correspondent direction and receiving information indicating whether the higher harmonic signal is received from the correspondent direction or not, for each direction that the antenna unit is headed for.
