    • The present embodiments relate to an apparatus which can be used to increase the bending strength of a tube in its connection region. The apparatus may include an adapter unit, the shape of which is matched to a cross-sectional shape of a tube end in such a manner that on the one hand the adapter unit can be fitted to a tube connection of a device instead of the tube end and on the other hand the tube end can be fitted to the adapter unit. The apparatus may also include at least one spring element made of glass fiber reinforced plastic, which is connected to the adapter unit, projects out of the adapter unit in the direction of the tube and has a termination element at the projecting end, against which termination element a fitted tube abuts when subjected to bending, so that the rigidity of the spring element increases the bending strength of the tube in the region between the adapter unit and the element.

    • The present disclosure provides a fluid clip for use with a coolant system for electrosurgical procedures. The fluid clip includes a clip housing having proximal and distal ends and a channel defined therethrough. The channel is dimensioned to receive tubing for carrying a cooling fluid from a cooling source. The fluid clip includes a luer that includes a passageway defined therethrough. The passageway is dimensioned to securely receive the tubing such that the tubing extends through the luer for reception within the channel defined in the clip housing. The luer includes one or more interface on a surface thereof that matingly engages a corresponding interface on the clip housing. The interface on the luer cooperates with the interface on the clip housing to limit rotation of the tubing.

    • A support bracket is provided for holding an outlet end of a hose, such as a garden hose. The bracket includes a base which is adapted to be attached to a support surface, such as an exterior wall of a building. An arch extends away from an upper end of the base to a free end spaced from the base. A channel passes along the base and the arch. The channel is adapted to receive the hose therein. The arch terminates at a head which holds an outlet of the hose. The head extends at least partially downwardly so that water discharged from the outlet of the hose extends at least partially downwardly when the hose is supported by the bracket. Retainer ribs are provided to facilitate removable attachment of the hose within the channel of the bracket.

    • A compression-type drop wire clamp assembly for use in suspending and directing cables and wires relative to supporting structures, such as a poles or buildings, is provided. More specifically, the improved drop wire clamp assembly is designed for use in suspending and directing sensitive cables and wires, such as fiber optic cables and wires. The drop wire clamp assembly includes a tapered housing, a mating tapered slide assembly, a hanger portion for securing the assembly to the supporting structure, and a shim. The housing and the shim each include a longitudinal groove, as well as gripping surfaces. The fiber optic cable, or other electrical cable, is sandwiched between the housing and the shim within the longitudinal grooves of the housing and shim. The gripping surfaces of the housing and shim engage the cable in such a way as to prevent damage to the cable or wire caused by the compressive force or pressure exerted thereto, while allowing the drop wire clamp assembly to sufficiently secure the cable thereto. That is, the compressive force exerted on the cable is exerted on the more durable support portions of the cable and little or no compressive force is exerted on the signal-carrying portion of the cable. Thus, damage to the signal-carrying portion of the cable, and the attenuation of the signal caused by such damage, may be prevented.

    • The invention relates to a bending and holding aid, especially for pipes, cables and lines consisting of a bendable hollow body that is closed, at least in sections, open at both front ends having a substantially tube-shaped enveloping surface, which consists of individual articulated members connected by means of connecting elements with flexible angles, where the freely accessible front ends of an articulated member form a sharp angle whose opening is oriented in the direction of the connecting elements. The bending aid is configured such that the connecting element is a defined one-dimensional joint and that on the side of the bending aid opposite the connecting elements catching elements are disposed that connect the adjacent articulated members so as to interlock, without additional holding device, when the bending aid is bent. This invention provides an aid for shaping and mounting pipes which allows approximately uniform shaping in free bending and the obtained curvature is ensured even when external influences change.
