摘要： A closure cap particularly suited for use with containers such as milk bottles includes multiple sealing areas as well as frangible locking means. The locking means is located near the lower rim of a skirt portion of the closure cap. If the locking means has not been tampered with, an interlocking engagement between the locking means and a complementary portion of the container retains the cap on the container. If the locking means has been tampered with, the cap can be removed from the container. A visual inspection of the closure cap readily indicates whether the locking means is in tampered or untampered condition. In one embodiment, the cap can be repeatedly snapped into place on the container, and in other alternative embodiments, the cap can be repeatedly threaded onto the container. The multiple sealing areas not only seal the contents of the container, but one of the areas also prevents dust, dirt, or other contaminants from having access to the other sealing areas.

摘要： A pilfer-proof closure for use in combination with a container having a threaded neck portion and an annular flange below the threaded portion, comprising a body having an internally threaded upper portion and a lower skirt portion. A flexible locking member attached to the inside of the body by frangible connecting means and protected by the skirt is adapted to slide over the container flange as the cap is threaded on whereby the locking member snaps into place underneath the flange to lock the closure onto the container. When the closure is unthreaded from the container, the frangible connecting means are broken to completely disconnect the locking member from the inside of the closure. A viewing opening in the lower portion of the body permits visual observation of the locking member when the closure is threaded on the container to determine whether or not the container has been tampered with.

摘要： A two stage dispensing cap for a carbonated beverage container is described. The cap has a flip top which is hingedly connected to a collar wherein the collar is rotatable on the container. The cap, upon rotation of the collar, is first opened into a venting position wherein the flip top vents the pressurized contents of the container but remains locked partially closed. Continued rotation of the cap releases the locked flop top to allow the container to be fully opened. A set of cams on the container neck work in conjunction with annular beads to first allow partially opening of the flip top into the venting position and then allowing it to fully open.
