摘要： A stretchable absorbent article, such as a diaper, a sanitary product or other absorbent member, comprises a liquid permeable layer, and a liquid impermeable elastic layer stretchably secured to the liquid permeable layer at discrete regions so as to form regions of nonsecurement between the discrete regions of securement. The liquid permeable layer forms corrugations at respective regions of nonsecurement for respectively defining channels between the liquid permeable layer and the liquid impermeable elastic layer. Absorbent material is disposed in selected ones of the channels.

摘要： An absorbent structure in accordance with the present invention comprises a flexible shaped member having a raised peripheral rim to form a containment space for receiving body exudates. The shaped member comprises a first portion, and a second portion extending rearwardly from a rear end of the first portion. The first portion has along its side edges symmetrical indentations so that the first portion has a plan configuration including a generally rectangular front segment, and inwardly contoured side edges respectively extending rearwardly from the front segment in a diverging manner into the second portion. The second portion has a generally rectangular plan configuration wider than the first portion, so that the shaped member has a generally anvil-shaped, overall plan configuration. The absorbent structure further comprises absorbent material disposed in the first portion. The absorbent material is absent in the second portion to leave a void space therein for receiving fecal material. A liquid permeable top sheet overlies the shaped member for covering the containment space thereof.

摘要： A disposable garment of pants type, such as a disposable diaper of pants type, is constructed by attaching respective leg-hole surrounding flaps and waist-hole surrounding flaps to respective opposite side edges extending longitudinally of a basic assembly for the garment which comprises at least a topsheet and a backsheet. The leg-hole surrounding flaps and the waist-hole surrounding flaps respectively cooperate to form a pair of leg-holes. A pair of shoulder straps can be easily prepared by making a slit which extends longitudinally of the garment on each waist-hole surrounding flap. A disposable garment of the present invention is featured in its simple construction and easy production.

In contrast with the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of prior art which necessarily forms an overlapping portion of said front and rear waists at each side of the diaper when the latter is put on the user, this waist band has not only a function to adjust a circumferential dimension of the waist but also the fastening function of the conventional adhesive tape. The waist band disclosed herein has a relatively large length including an area of low rigidity (or high flexibility) serving for said adjusting function and another area of high rigidity serving for said fastening function. Furthermore, this waist band is made of basic material consisting of nonwoven fabric having high flexibility and plastic film which is at least partially melted into said nonwoven fabric integrally therewith so that said area serving for fastening function may have a desired high rigidity.
