    • PURPOSE:To obtain a quick catalytic effect of chemicals etc., by temporarily raising the temperature in a catalyst higher than the stabilizedly controlled temperature at the rising time, and by producing the difference in the heating rates between both parts by separately positioning a radiant top plate and a bimetal, as well as to position the catalyst above the bimetal with a space between them. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst 9 is positioned at the upper end of a combustion pipe 10 with a space A provided above a bimetal 6. Gas is injected from a gas tank 1 through a gas nozzle 2, and then a catalytic reaction is started by the catalyst 9. A radiant top plate 8 is suddenly heated by an upstreaming air flow and is heated up to the temperature T1. During this time, the bimetal 6 is gradually heated up because a space A is provided below the catalyst 9. The temperature control by the bimetal 6 to the radiant top plate 8 will start at the temperature T1, but the radiant top plate 8 is temporarily heated up to the temperature T2 because the heated rate of a catalyst 9 is higher than that of a bimetal 6. Then the temperature in the radiant top plate 8 is lowered down to the temperature T1 under the control of a bimetal 6. Afterwards, the temperature distribution in a heater body is made stabilized as a whole by the combustion pipe 10 and a heater body 7, so that the radiant top plate 8 is stabilizedly controlled by the predetermined temperature T1.

CONSTITUTION:Gas is injected out of a gas nozzle 2 and an operating switch 8 is pushed down toward a direction A to supply a high voltage from the piezo equipment 7 to generate high-voltage spark between a high-voltage lead wire 7a and the combustion pipe 4 and ignite the gas. An engaging piece 8a pushes down one end of the heat radiating plate 5 by the pushing operation of the switch 8, therefore, the heat radiating plate 5 is pivoted about the support point 5a thereof and is opened. Accordingly, fill-up of the gas may be eliminated and the gas may be ignited smoothly and safely.

    • PURPOSE:To improve a safety characteristic of a catalyst heater used for a gas smoking and insect killer etc. by a method wherein a shape memory alloy is fixed to the other end of a safe gas lever passed through a combustion pipe and having one end rotatably pivoted so as to cause the device to be operated under an irregular temperature. CONSTITUTION:In case that the device is normally operated, a shape memory alloy 14 is not heated to an irregular temperature, but is made free and indepen dent from a gas burner 4. An opening or closing of a gas nozzle 2 is performed under a curved condition of a bi-metal 7 for use in controlling a temperature. When a temperature is irregularly increased due to a poor control over tempera ture of the bi-metal 7 or the like, the shape memory alloy 14 is heated and its return operation to the stored shape is carried out. With this arrangement, a safety gas lever 13 is operated in a direction of Y to push down the gas nozzle 2 in a direction of B and the combustion is terminated. With this arrange ment, a safety characteristic of the device can be improved.

CONSTITUTION:When an operation switch 7 is pushed to the upward direction as shown by an arrow sign A, a pilot gas lever 10 is pushed up, at the same time, gas is started injecting from a pilot burner 5, and a catalyst 4 is preheated into red-heated state by pilot gas flames ignited by sparks discharged from a high voltage generator 6. At this time, a main gas nozzle 2 is held in a closed state, as a compression spring 13 is provided to a switch 8. Then when the operation switch 7 is depressed to the direction shown by an arrow sign B, the slot gas is shut off, and after that, a main gas lever 9 is forcibly depressed by the main switch 8 against the depression spring 13. On the contrary, the main nozzle 2 is brought into an open state by the depression force of a nozzle spring 12. Injected gas is all brought into catalytic reaction, because no gas flames will remain around the main nozzle 2.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst heater having stabilized heat release temperature and ignition performance for the change of operational environment condition by a method wherein an air preventing device is arranged against an air vent hole at the inside of a case body.
      CONSTITUTION: Upon ignition, gas gasses through the catalyst 5 through a gas burner 4 and is changed by catalytic reaction, then, has heat release while a radiation plate is heated. The necessary air for the catalyst reaction is entered through the air vent 11, the flowing speed of the entering air is decreased by the air preventing device 14 of a shielding plate or the like provided at the inside of the air vent hole 11 against the air vent hole 11, however, it is mixed by stirring, therefore, the catalyst reaction is not affected directly. According to this method, the heat release temperature and the ignition performance may be stabilized even when it is used at the outdoor or the like.

    • PURPOSE:To allow a series of operations to be performed with a single switch in order to improve the ease of operation and safety by interlocking the control switch and a main nozzle open-close member. Then, the open-close member 14 of a main nozzle 2 and the engaging part 13b are engaged to push up the open-close member 14 in the ''ON'' direction, which relieves the pressure on a gas lever 9. The nozzle 2 is pushed up by a spring 3 to start discharging gas, which is subjected to the catalytic burning by a catalyzer 5 to generate heat. When the pressure on the switch 13 is relieved thereafter, it returns to a middle position between ''ON'' and ''OFF'' by a return spring to extinguish the nozzle 7. However, gas continues to be discharged from the nozzle 2, and the catalytic reaction is continued. When the switch is turned off after the usage, the open-close member 14 is also pushed down to cause the nozzle 2 to be closed to terminate the catalytic reaction. In this manner, explosion at time of the initial ignition can be prevented, resulting in an improvement in safety.
