    • A mobile node (MN) transmits a (4) echo request to the effect that the source address is set to be a new care of address (nCoA) right after transmitting a (3) binding update (BU) for a home agent (HA). The nAR having received the (4) echo request intends to transmit an echo reply to the nCoA being the source address of the echo request. However, at this time, since an entry regarding the nCoA does not exist in a neighbor cache of the nAR, the nAR transmits (5) neighbor solicitation (NS) to the MN, and generates a neighbor cache entry of the nCoA. After this, at the time when a binding acknowledgment (BA) has arrived at the nAR, since the entry of the nCoA exists, the (8) BA and data packets (9) to (11) arriving at the nAR following the (8) BA are transferred to the MN without buffering in the nAR, corresponding to the entry of the nCoA generated at the time of transmission of the (7) echo reply.

    • A scramble code allocation method used by mobile communications systems, and a base station and a mobile station that use the method are disclosed. The scramble code allocation method autonomously and optimally sets up a scramble code unique to a target base station. The method includes a step of generating a collection packet for collecting unique information of surrounding base stations, the unique information being used for setting up respective identifiers of the surrounding base stations; a step of broadcasting the collection packet to the surrounding base stations through a network; a step of receiving response packets from the surrounding base stations in response to the collection packet; a step of extracting the unique information of the surrounding base stations inserted in the response packets that are received; a step of storing the extracted unique information; and a step of setting up an identifier of the target base station based on the stored unique information.

The base station comprises a memory for storing its own cell reception power transmitted from the mobile station based on radio resource allocation status for the mobile station; a neighboring interference calculating unit for calculating neighboring cell interference based on the its own cell reception power and the reception quality information; an interference margin determining unit for establishing neighboring cell interference margin for preparing for neighboring cell interference; and a transmission power determining unit for determining transmission power for each packet transmitted from the mobile station based on the reception quality information and the interference margin.

A mobile station receives cell selection reference signals from a first base station and a second base station to connect before and after a handover, and measures received power values of the cell selection reference signals. The mobile station acquires uplink transmitted power values from the mobile station to the first base station and to the second base station. The first base station and the second base station control a power of the cell selection reference signal so that the uplink transmitted power values from the mobile station to the first base station and to the second base station become substantially equal and so that a received power value at the mobile station of the cell selection reference signal becomes substantially equal to a predetermined reference power value.

    • An object of the present invention is to reduce the volume of a control signal and shorten a delay of processing in a system comprising a base station configured to transmit a pilot signal at a predetermined transmission power and a mobile station configured to transmit a preamble prior to transmission/reception of data. A mobile station comprises means for spreading the preamble with a spreading code corresponding to a reception power or a signal interference ratio of the pilot signal at the host station, based on a correspondence between the spreading code and, the reception power or the signal interference ratio of the pilot signal at the host station (power code determiner and transmitted signal converter), and means for transmitting the preamble after the spreading process (transmitter); and a base station comprises means for determining a transmission power or a downlink transmission rate for a signal directed to the mobile station, according to the spreading code of the preamble received from the mobile station, based on the correspondence between the spreading code, and the reception power or the signal interference ratio of the pilot signal at the mobile station (spreading code measuring part, estimator, and transmission rate determiner).
