    • A vehicle light can simultaneously form a light distribution pattern for a tail/stop lamp in one direction and another light distribution pattern for a side marker lamp in another direction without use of a dedicated light source(s). The vehicle light can include: a cover lens having a lens portion and a wraparound lens portion extending from the lens portion to the vehicle side face; a first LED light source configured to form first and second light distribution patterns; and a first reflector configured to reflect a first part of light from the first LED light source so as to form the second light distribution pattern. The first LED light source can be disposed so that a second part of the light from the first LED light source passes through the wraparound lens portion to form the first light distribution pattern. The first reflector can be disposed between the first LED light source and the wraparound lens portion so that the first reflector does not block the second part of the light.

    • The present invention relates to a hydrodehalogenation method in which a halogen atom on a carbon atom of an organic compound is removed by substituting the halogen atom with a hydrogen atom, and to a method for producing a dehalogenated compound. The hydrodehalogenation method is characterized by including treating an organic compound having a halogen atom on a carbon atom thereof in a solvent with a compound represented by formula (2-1): M2BHpR1q  (2-1) or formula (2-2): M3(BHpR1q)2  (2-2) (wherein M2 represents an alkali metal atom; M3 represents an alkaline earth metal atom or a zinc atom; R1 represents a hydrogen atom, a cyano group, a C2-C13 acyloxy group, or a C1-C6 alkoxy group; p is an integer of 1 to 4; q is an integer of 0 to 3; and the sum of p and q is 4) in the presence of a Group VIII metal complex represented by formula (1): M1XmLn  (1) (wherein M1 represents a Group VIII metal; X represents a halogen atom; L represents a neutral ligand; m is an integer of 1 or 2; n is an integer of 2 or 3; and the sum of m and n is 4).

    • A rotation transmission device includes inner and outer rings and a two-way clutch therebetween. An electromagnetic clutch is provided to selectively engage and disengage the two-way clutch, and includes an electromagnet having a core to which a flange is secured. The flange is received in a recess formed in a stationary member. A snap ring is engaged in a groove formed in the recess to prevent the flange from coming out of the recess. An elastic member is disposed between the flange and the end wall of the recess. The elastic member presses the flange against the snap ring, thereby axially positioning the electromagnet. The elastic member is free of load resulting from magnetic attraction of the electromagnet when energized. This makes it possible to reduce the spring force of the elastic member and thus its diameter and cost.
