At least some embodiments allow for transmission of a beam failure recovery request for beam recovery, allow for beam failure detection or new Tx beam identification, and allow for determining whether to configure a scheduling delay between a PDCCH and a PDSCH.

At least some embodiments allow for beam management, and allow for fine time and/or frequency offset tracking.

A UE may be adapted to receive from a node a discovery signal that includes a base sequence. The base sequence may distinguish a first group of collocated nodes, comprising a first cell cluster, from a second group of collocated nodes, comprising a second cell cluster. The UE may further be adapted to receive from the node an orthogonal sequence, also included in the discovery signal. The orthogonal sequence may distinguish a first cell from other collocated cells so that cells within a cell cluster are separately identifiable. In further embodiments, the conjugate of sequences may be used to increase the amount of sequences available to distinguish cells and/or cell clusters. Other embodiments are described herein.

At least some embodiments allow for determining a transmission power to transmit a PRACH, to ensure reception of the PRACH, and allow for determining whether to use a PRACH or a PUCHH.

摘要： User equipment (UE), an enhanced NodeB (eNB) and method of reducing handover latency are generally described. The UE may transmit measurement feedback to the eNB based on control signals. The UE may receive a reconfiguration message from the eNB or another eNB to the UE is attached. The reconfiguration message may contain reconfiguration information indicating whether or not a physical layer or layer 2 of the UE is to be reconfigured and/or a security key is to be updated. The reconfiguration information may be dependent on whether the handover is between eNBs controlled by a same entity and/or whether the handover comprises an intra-frequency transition. The UE or eNB may initiate handover of the UE. During handover the UE may avoid physical layer or layer 2 reconfiguration or the security key update. The security key and data for the UE may be provided directly between the eNBs.

In embodiments, an eNB may assign demodulation reference signals (DM-RSs) and/or cell-specific reference signals (CRSs) to a downlink pilot time slot (DwPTS) of a special subframe responsive to a determined configuration of the special subframe. In embodiments, an eNB may bundle the DwPTS or an uplink pilot time slot (UpPTS) of the special subframe with another subframe for scheduling. In embodiments, a UE may estimate a channel associated with the special subframe based on DM-RSs and/or CRSs transmitted in another subframe. In embodiments, an eNB may exclude the DwPTS from scheduling for certain special subframe configurations if a new carrier type (NCT) is used. In embodiments, an eNB may exclude certain special subframe configurations from use for NCT communications. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
