    • A process for producing a fixing roller comprising coating a fluorine resin dispersion onto a core by using a transfer coating apparatus comprising a transfer roller equipped with a fluorine resin dispersion temperature controller, a coating pan containing a fluorine resin dispersion, a driving system for revolving the core, and a core carrying mechanism for shifting the core, in which the core is brought close to the transfer roller at a gap allowing the core to pick up the fluorine resin dispersion having been picked up from the coating pan onto the transfer roller, and after a prescribed amount of the fluorine resin dispersion is transferred onto the core, the gap between the core and the transfer roller is widened by shifting the core away from the transfer roller thereby to separate the core from the transfer roller, the coating apparatus further comprising a thin plate on both sides of the transfer roller for preventing the fluorine resin dispersion in contact with both ends of an effective coating width of the core from migrating to the inside of the effective coating width while the gap is widened.

    • An adjustable cushion support device for adjusting the holding pressure applied to support a seat cushion. The adjustable support device includes a frame member having a first end and a second end to support the cushion. A spring member is mounted on the frame member between the first end and the second end for flexibly supporting a load. A control mechanism is mounted on the frame member and is connected to the spring member for adjusting the holding pressure applied to the spring member. The control mechanism includes an enforcing member pivotally supported on the frame member for pushing the spring member upwards, a biasing member for biasing the enforcement member, and an operating lever to control the inclination of the biasing member to regulate the holding pressure applied to the spring member.

    • An improved cathode ray tube consisting of a panel member coated on its inner surface with a phosphor layer, and having a funnel member and a neck member with an electron gun mounted therein in which an image is formed on the phosphor layer by an electron beam emitted from the electron gun and comprising fittings located at the corners of the panel member with a tension band tightened to the panel member over the fittings with each of the fittings having first portions substantially parallel to the tubular axis of the cathode ray tube and second portions extending from the first portion and extending in the direction perpendicular to the tubular axis of the tube to form a substantially L-shaped member in cross-section. The first portion has curved surfaces which conform with a peripheral wall surface of the cathode ray tube at its top end portions and indented portions which distribute bearing stresses of a tension band uniformly over the tube to eliminate problems arising during explosion.
