    • A color filter substrate includes a substrate, a plurality of buffer layers respectively on the substrate, the plurality of buffer layers being spaced apart from adjacent buffer layers with an interval such that they have the shape of a matrix, a plurality of color filter layers on the buffer layers such that the plurality of color filter layers have the shape of matrix, each color filter layer having first and second portions, the first portion disposed in the gap between two adjacent buffer layers while the second portion is disposed on upper surfaces of the two adjacent buffer layers, the plurality of color filter layers being used for the transflective LCD device; and a common electrode on the plurality of color filter layers. In fabricating the color filter layer, the first and second portions of the color filter layer are integrally formed. Therefore, a simple fabricating process is achieved.

    • A weak-magnetic field sensor using printed circuit board manufacturing technique which detects the Earth's magnetic field to obtain positional information, and a method of manufacturing the same is disclosed. The sensor comprises a first base board which is formed at its upper and lower surfaces with first driving patterns and first pickup patterns, a pair of first stacked boards which are stacked on upper and lower surfaces of the first base board and which are formed with magnetic layers thereon, and a pair of second stacked boards which are stacked on outer surfaces of the pair of first stacked boards and which are formed with second driving patterns and second pickup patterns electrically connected to the first driving patterns and the first pickup patterns of the first base board to surround magnetic layers. The magnetic layer, the driving patterns and the pickup patterns provided on the first base board are oriented to be perpendicular to those provided under the first base board.

The MIMO communication system includes an MCS (modulation and coding scheme) level selector for selecting an MCS level representing combination of data modulation and coding schemes according to a channel status, a modulation and coding section for processing transmit data according to modulation and coding schemes corresponding to the selected MCS level, a D-STTD (double-space time transmit diversity) encoder for coding the transmit data, which has been processed through the modulation and coding section, through a D-STTD scheme and transmitting the transmit data through M transmit antennas, and a receiver for receiving data, which have been coded through the D-STTD scheme, through N receive antennas, detecting the received data through an OSIC-MMSE (ordered successive interference cancellation-minimum mean-square error) scheme, and decoding the received data through the modulation and coding schemes employed in the modulation and coding section.
