摘要： A method of recording and/or reproducing color video signal comprises the steps of forming from a color video signal a frequency division multiplexed signal of an FM luminance signal and a frequency converted carrier chrominance signal, recording the frequency division multiplexed signal on a first track on a magnetic tape by one of two heads constituting a pair, forming a high-frequency signal at least including an added signal made up of a high-frequency component of the color video signal and a high-frequency bias signal, recording the high-frequency signal on a second track by the other of the two heads simultaneously as the recording of the first track, demodulating at least a reproduced luminance signal from a signal reproduced from the first track, obtaining at least a high-frequency component of a luminance signal from a signal reproduced from the second track, and mixing the reproduced luminance signal, the high-frequency component of the luminance signal, and a reproduced carrier chrominance signal reproduced from the reproduced frequency division multiplexed signal, or a reproduced carrier chrominance signal separated from the reproduced high-frequency signal. A recording and reproducing apparatus performs recording and reproduction according to the above method.

摘要： A video signal, speed-change reproducing system uses a tape on which a video signal has been recorded. The recorded tracks are disposed contiguously and obliquely relative to the longitudinal tape direction. The tracks are recorded and formed by a plurality of rotating heads having gaps of mutually different azimuth angles. The tape travels at a selected speed V represented by the equation ##EQU1## wherein Vo is the tape speed for normal reproduction (and recording), and n is a positive integer. For reproduction, a plurality of rotating reproducing heads have gaps of mutually different azimuth angles which are the same as the azimuth angles used at the recording time. These heads successively scan the tracks of the tape to reproduce the recorded video signal. The rotating reproducing head is controlled to rotate in such a phase relation that each time instant when the level of the reproduced signal becomes a minimum value is within or in the vicinity of a vertical blanking period.

摘要： A recorded tape, speed-change reproducing system comprises a transport for transporting a tape at a speed which is different from that used for normal reproduction (and recording). The tape carries a video signal which was recorded, by a rotary video head, on parallel video tracks which are disposed obliquely relative to the longitudinal direction of tape travel. An audio signal is recorded by a stationary audio head with an audio track extending longitudinally along the length of the tape. The rotary video heads scan the video tracks on the tape to reproduce the recorded video signal when the tape speed changes. The stationary audio head also scans the audio track on the tape under speed-change situations. The pitch of the reproduced audio signal is corrected in such a manner that the pitch is returned to become substantially equal to the pitch of the reproduced audio signal, as if the tape was travelling at the recording speed.
