    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane pump causing no degradation of the rigidity of side plates, having no internal leakage, and capable of improving the volumetric efficiency of the pump. SOLUTION: This vane pump is provided with a rotor having multiple vanes reciprocatably in the radial direction of the rotor, a cam ring rotatably storing the rotor, a pair of side plates 13 closing both side sections of the rotor and the cam ring, and a pressure chamber discharging a working fluid via the action of the vanes when the rotor is rotated. Pressure guide grooves 33, 34 are arranged on the concentric circle with the axis of the rotor on the opposite inside faces of the side plates 13, and the pressure guide grooves 33 on one side plate 13 are circularly and separately arranged on the concentric circle with the center axis of the rotor. Two through holes 35 separately communicated with the pressure chamber are formed in each pressure guide groove 33, and the pressure guide grooves 33 are communicated with the pressure chamber via the through holes 35.
