    • PURPOSE:To determine the quantity of a plurality of mixed non-metal elements speedily with accuracy by a method wherein, in the determination of non-metal elements contained in metal which are heated and extracted in the atmosphere of hydrogen, several pairs of heater extractors and absorption cells are provided and used alternatively. CONSTITUTION:Furnace core tubes 3, 3' are contained in a heating furnace 7 and absorption cells 10, 10' are contained in a thermostatic tank 8 whereby a combination of the tube 3 and the cell 10 and a combination of the tube 3' and the cell 10' are provided in such a way that they can be used alternatively. Next, after an absorption liquid and a specimen are supplied to the cells 10, 10' and boats 4, 4' respectively, the temperature of the heating furnace 7 is raised by a control device 17 according to a program. Subsequently, a group of valves 5, 6, 12 are operated to allow hydrogen sent from a gas supply 1 to flow into a density measuring device 16 via the furnace core tube 3 and the cell 10. The device 17 is used to store the analysed value of the first metal element which has been obtained from the measured value of the first non-metal element hydride and then to store the analysed value of the second non-metal element which has been obtained by the use of the furnace core tube 3' and the cell 10' also at the predetermined temperature. The valve is displayed on a printer 18.
